No but I went to an Australian theme dinner 15-20 years ago and tried some Vegemite yeast extract. I remember the distinctive smell that I liked(I also like the smell of rising yeast dough for bread or rolls, which I like to eat raw) and how terrible it tasted at first. It is indeed an acquired taste. Fast forward to 4-5 years ago at work and we started to get this oil in to supplement the fuel for our reactors. It was a vegetable oil that I understand was used as a media for some sort of biological growth to produce a product from the growth. Eventually the oil is "spent" and then we get it for a fuel supplement. Right off the bat I noticed the distinctive smell of this oil, but I couldn't recall where I had smelled that odor before. After a couple weeks it hit me that it was the same smell as Vegemite!

I think it smells good, it may be that it usually means that deer season has started and I am in the woods, that just makes it smell better.

I've never smelled it in the woods, but a bottle of it broke open indoors and the stench didn't leave for weeks.

Yea, that might not be the best scent for the house. I think it smells better when you are dressed in camo, sitting in the woods with all the other smells of nature mixing with it. I definitely would not want to fill my wifes Glade PlugIns with it either but outdoors it is good.
