Wedding Nightmares
-
LJSo tell me about your wedding nightmares. I experiences my first one today. The printer printed our invitations upside down and they were smeared, and it took a call to his regional VP just to get a 100% refund. I am still out $70 for the invitation paper, and am starting to run short on time.

sleeperNightmares? Just wait til you're married.

bigkahunaNight BEFORE my wedding, I get a call from my mother in law around 11pm.
MIL: BK, OMG, Mrs. BK's dress was in my study and the door closed and the lock broke. We can't get into the room to retrieve the dress, it's locked in, I don't know what we're going to do.
Me: Uh, break the door down?
MIL: We're trying to get your BIL to come in and climb through the window, if that doesn't work, we might have to get FIL's ax and break the door down.
While all of this is going on, I can hear my wife in the background freaking out. About an hour later, they were able to snap off the handle with something (I forget). Crisis averted.
Next morning, me and my boys leave my FIL's house (In-laws are divorced) in the limo that we've rented for the day. My buddy parked the FIL in and took his keys, so he couldn't get out. He and about 5 neighbors had to pick up and pull his flat bed trailer that he uses to haul shit out of the way, so he could slide out of his drive way. He showed up literally 10-15 minutes before she had to head down the aisle. Our wedding planner had some walkie talkies set up. I remember her coming across the line "Has anyone seen the FOB? -
OneBuckeyeNot my wedding, but the parents were at a wedding a few years back where the groom pwnd the bride with the cake (after the groomsman conviced him it was a good idea.) The bride ran off crying into the bathroom and locked the door and didn't come out. Everyone just ended up leaving. lol.
-
FatHobbitTwo weeks before the wedding, our photographer told us he accidentally double booked and wouldn't be able to make our wedding. He was a complete fuck up in everything we had to do with him.
-
Scarlet_FeverIt's been one continuous nightmare since the minute I said I do.

LJSo my fiancee told me on the phone afterwards that the guy at the store was cussing her out, told her "thanks I'll probably lose my job over this" and that we weren't welcome back. I think I will be making another call to the VP this afternoon.
-
justincredibleMy bachelor party ended with me being arrested and sent to the hospital. Also, my brother-in-law and one of his friends were arrested. I was hoping that would be enough to get out of the wedding but it didn't scare her off. FML.

I guess so. The funny thing is that the VP told us to go to the Westerville store and see a certain person, and to NOT let the guy we had orig do them touch them again. Sounds like the VP thinks he is dumbass too. -
OSHIt rained on our wedding day. It was supposed to be outdoors, but we just moved it indoors. We had a backup plan.
The wife cried about it. It wasn't a big deal. The worst part about being indoors was that there were people who couldn't actually see any of the ceremony because they were blocked by other people. It went great. I had zero problems. -

Note to self. Tom Bosco story in the making. -
BigAppleBuckeyeNot a nightmare, but a 100% true story: my photographer submitted an album of all our photos electronically, which we subsequently forwarded to our parents. I then forwarded them to my groomsmen, sparking a reply email from my buddy, who simply said "I would take a closer look at photos 1,012 and 1,013."
When I took a closer look, there was one of my groomsmen, with his junk hanging out haha. I laughed my ass off, but Websurfinbird was less than amused ... -
OneBuckeyeA friend who is a photographer had one of her wedding photographers lose the memory stick with her pics. Both photographers used 2 memory sticks so they had plenty of pics still but they lost at least a 1/4 of them due to their dumbass photographer.

Worse, it's Nepotism. Franchise owner's relative -
raiderbuckI was in a friend's wedding. The ring bearer was an absolute devil child I tell ya. This kid terrorized everyone, all day long. It was super hot outside so he was exhausted during rehearsal. He threw a temper tantrum while walking down the isle, threw the pillow and lost it. His mother would spank him, and then he'd holler and scream like a banshee...then he'd be back to his terrorism ten minutes later.
He threw a temper tantrum during picture taking after the ceremony. It was someone's bright idea to put this kid behind the wheel of a golf cart to get a "cute shot" of him...well, no one told the little monster that it wasn't "his" golf cart. So he wouldn't get off the thing when it was time to move on to the next shot. Not to mention, he fell out and cried during his walk down the isle. And not in that cute "I'm an embarrassed little kid" way, but in that "I'm a spoiled brat who doesn't want to do this so I'm going to F it up for everyone" kind of way. He was an absolute nightmare. Seriously, I've never wanted to harm a kid, but I'd literally fight this 3 year old. I was so pissed off. -

I love how you say it wasn't a nightmare lol. I almost flagged that photo for our wedding album! I'm just glad I was made aware of the photos in time to have them blocked from view.BigAppleBuckeye;757531 wrote:Not a nightmare, but a 100% true story: my photographer submitted an album of all our photos electronically, which we subsequently forwarded to our parents. HereticMy wedding nightmare was the handful of years after the experience before I was like, "FUCK THIS!" and ended that whole ordeal.

SMH pretty pathetic. Good luck to that guy and his fail bride. -
Cat Food Flambe'We've been lucky - of my five sisters-in-law's twelve weddings, the ceremonies have gone pretty smoothly. Using a heavy-gauge shotgun smooths over most of the rough spots.

Mohican00I was at a wedding reception 2 summers ago where a friend of a friend of the bride ended up getting completely shitfaced and doing one of the groom's good friends who had driven up from NC in the parking lot....twice. In front of multiple people. And he was married....
She ended up passing out just outside of the lady's room with her dress up above her waist and no panties on after vomiting on herself.
The classy lady is in the bottom right, black hair and dress with pink lace

That reminds me of one of our flower girls. She cried back in the hallway before she was supposed to walk but she was doing a mix of the 2 types you mentioned. I wasn't back there, but all of my buddies said "Dude, Mrs. BK just went off on Flower Girl." Her mom was back there trying to calm her down, and the little girl said "Mommy, I can't help it, I'm scared." My wife allegedly replied "Yes, you can, you're just being a brat and choosing not to stop!" The mom and her are really good friends, so they just laugh about it now. That was the only Bridezilla moment.
