Already posted but maybe you both missed it. Interesting that you respond to sleeper by saying someone else will cry...

In fact, look at post #13 in that thread. Oops.

Your point? He was crying in that thread lmao. I call it like i see it. Another fail by lotz.

I guess that's what happens when your life is garbage.

So is it safe to call the bitching about the search feature a FAIL?

How's that epic college education going for ya, sleeper? ;)

    Nice FAIL.

    You're doing it wrong.

No I'm not. The search function fails to find the posts that I'm looking for. When looking for a specific post its tedious, time consuming and usually doesnt find it. Nice try though.

Yes. Maybe if like_that and CoA put their heads together they will figure it out.

Hopefully that doesn't start a rousing game of tummy sticks in their basement.

Oh reading Capwned's fail comment book again huh? Thats truly pathetic to try and still his material.

    What are you looking for?

I pay a secretary $10/hr. She doesn't help me on these forums.

    Maybe she ought to. :D

I remember on jj that you could search the way he is mentioning too. It wouldn't even list the threads, just previews of the posts which would link to that particular post in the thread. Maybe the tards at vbulletin removed it from
vbulletin 4. (jj is still on like 3.8)

Or maybe that functionality is there. I have never tinkered with the search much to really know, just have looked for threads and not posts mostly
  • O-Trap
Guys, you can toggle searching for posts containing the search term instead of threads ...

... or am I not understanding what you're wanting?

  • justincredible
Yeah, I'm failing to see what is missing here?

I search for posts and I get a list of threads. Some threads show up multiple times because there are multiple hits in that thread. When you click on the thread link it takes you straight to that post.
  • ts1227
I was on the advanced search page (I just click on it up by the search box in the corner), and it takes you to the "multiple content types" tab and those radio buttons are not there. It's under the single type one. That is where I was missing it.

Still doesn't change the fact your pathetic ass took Capone's material. LMAO wow.

I still don't understand how one cannot do what COA is asking, as I seem to be able to do so just fine. As such, what makes it a "FAIL?"

like_that;757639 wrote:I take it you didn't catch his quote change?

I didn't. Minor fail on my part.

Doesn't change the fact that what he wants is available so his bitching is a fail.

My guess is he is talking about like I mentioned way back on jj years ago, when you searched by post it would show the results as the actual posts in the search results, so you didn't even have to open the thread to read it if you didn't want to (though it gave you that option too). Whereas now there's a whole one extra click to see the post .
  • Pick6
not going to take the time to read through this, but the thread about the dude banging the retard and sq's celtics collapse thread both need to be in the HOF

Ah. If that's what he's pretending is a travesty ... he needs to lighten up. It's a very minor (I've not cared enough to notice until it was mentioned) inconvenience, and certainly not something that makes the whole search tool worthless.
  • justincredible
Also, if you hover over the thread link you'll see the content of the post with the searched term in it.

    WHAT A TRAVESTY!

Now that we got that out of the way (insert eyes rolling, here), can we get back to the topic of this thread? Or is this going to be, yet another, bitch fest thread by the same two idiot's, who dont seem to grasp the concept, that this is a FREE fuckin site, and if they dont like the way shit is done here, they can just fuckin leave?
