Tornado about to hit Birmingham

  • ts1227
From the University of Alabama website
While no structural damage has been reported on the UA campus, power outages are widespread. Areas of the community where many of our off-campus students live have been impacted. The Student Recreation Center is available to students whose off-campus residences are damaged. Counseling services will also be available. Because of the power outages, Lakeside Dining is the only dining facility open on campus. Lines will be long, so please be patient. Please stay away from community areas that have experienced damage. If you must travel in Tuscaloosa, please be extremely careful. Obey all commands of law enforcement.

My car is now full of dents. All that time living in Ohio and I never had this many tornado warnings or hail damage.

    +1

In all seriousness, having watched my own father die when I was ten, plenty of people lost loved ones--this is super serious shit and prayers go out to folks harmed. However in my fucked up personality there is never a time that calls for the absence of a little humor. :)

seriously though, sad for those lost and praying for those missing.

i'm worried that the tornado season (which i don't think officially starts until like may 20th) is going to be much more deadly than we have ever seen.
