So I built a theater in my basement last year, and now my router is in the basement along with a ps3, xbox 360, and my main PC.
The router I use is:

I have an old xbox 360 upstairs with kinect hooked up to it, 1 floor above the basement. It's the old type xbox 360, so no wireless, and the adapter to get wireless to it costs around $50 used. We also frequently use a Roku on the same TV in the family room, which seems to always have a "fair' signal from the router in the basement...We still get the best quality Netflix since we have a fast connection, but I the overall speed would obviously improve with a better Wifi signal.
Is there a device that works well that I could put near the TV in the family room, which would allow me to have an ethernet cable out of the device and into the xbox 360 for a wired connection (rather than buying the overpriced microsoft adapter), and this would also boost the signal that we receive to the Roku and the laptop that we use on the first floor?
I know there are wireless repeaters/extenders, but looking for something that would have the ethernet out, if that's even possible...It seems like it should be...
I'm planning to do more google research today on my lunch, but just wondering if anybody here already knows the answer.
