Do you know your neighbors

fortfanThe neighborhood is one big happy family. Kid next door is a single 22 year-old that has parties quite often. Never bothers us. Old guy behind me-I call my redneck neighbor. Has a confederate flag license plate on his riding mower. Other neighbors all help out-move snow, loan tools etc. etc.
Last summer lady across the street comes screaming over saying her husband fell. I run over to the back of the house.....not knowing what I'll see...he looked dead. Really. But he was ok-just a bad concussion. He is in bad health over all though and never should have been up on a ladder to begin with. Stuff like that happens here all the time. LOL -
TimberForgot to mention earlier... My elderly neighbor stopped over Sunday night to thank me for removing snow from his driveway and sidewalks all winter. He also gave me a fifty dollar gift card to Applebees and a fifty dollar card to Texas Roadhouse. I wish he would not do that, I just like to help people... like my parents received after I left their town.

DeadliestWarrior34We have some varied neighbors. We're neighbors with about four houses. One we're great friends with another is our familys pastor and his family. One of the others is a strange couple about 50 years old that we never see much of since they spend 80% of their time at their parents houses. The last one is a 50ish woman who lives with her 30 year old son who doesn't have a job. There's quite a road from our neighborhood to the main road that we have to shovel every year. Not a single time has one of the younger people helped shovel any of it, or shown any gratitude at all.
