haha, i can say the same for my family members. they use different amounts of benzodiazepines (usually xanax) on an as needed basis (prescribed i might add). Luckily none of them are too bad off.

Thank you all for sharing. These are serious issues and a lot of people, like me, need to know that more people are suffering from things like this than we are aware with.

It makes you think about walking a day in "their shoes" before you pass judgment on someone.

I thought I had ADHD once; so much so I decided to take an online test to find out. So I go online and I couldn't find Big Red's score at all! I check RollRedRoll.com, JoeEitel.com, this site and even the other site and no where was the score posted! I didn't know what I was going to do; living so far away makes hard to keep up. So in the end, I just told her we aren't the same people we were when we first met and we should probably just go our separate ways and that we both will be be happier because of it! Honest to god, true story!

well...kind of a long story, but here goes nothing.

He worked at Fed-Ex in college and got home each night around 11 30. We were having a party on a Friday night he came home...
We had this thing called the banana monkey that held bananas and it was a monkey, hence the name. You hit it's head it danced and made noises...kinda funny. We also called our room-mate the banana monkey bc he was similar in appearance (not really, but we liked to fuck with him a little). He stole the monkey and hid it in his room. Well that night we had got it out and were playing with it when he walked in. He walked right by me and went to his room and got a louisville slugger (aluminum) and came out (my back was to him) swinging at my head. My other roomy at the time luckily saw what was happening and caught it mid-swing.

I got him back about 3 months later when I nailed a girl he would then date for a year.

    Cool story bro.

I have an anxiety disorder (more social than anything) and depression. My biggest problem is I can never just relax. It's been that way for probably the past 6-7 years. I always have to be doing something. Last week I worked 36 hours, had 15 hours of clinical time between Tuesday/Thursday in Cincinnati (I live 90 minutes away) and went to class....Maybe that's a lot, maybe it isn't. I just try to avoid having downtime. I'll get on Facebook and see people post updates about "sleeping til noon" or "laying around watching movies all day" -- I just can't do that. Every day I either throw myself into working, exercise, or studying.
Unlike most others on here, I haven't found the correct therapy. I'm similar to what tcarrier32 said -- I take a benzo as needed. I don't see a counselor. I've been having a rough time the past few weeks. I've stopped eating and lost about 20lbs since December.
