Believe it or not it COULD happen if it was pot, and a cop sees ya do it, they could pick ya up. Had a friend who saw a car hit a road pilon and drug it onto the middle of the road. It was a small one that was for construction. She goes and picks it up to put it back as it could be dangerous in the middle of the road. Right when she is picking it up a cop pulls around the corner and cites her for something. I forget what it was actually called but it was because she was messing with the official construction pilon. She got arrested, cited or whatever ya wanna call it.
She ultimtely got it dismissed but a few friends had to come in as a witness and such. She got nothing out of it but still had to pay a lawyer.

    Just saying....

I don't believe that for one minute. No way. That can't be true.

I was standing right there. I could show you the intersection.
My sister and her friend had to testify.

What I didnt tell you though was it was outside a bar.

around 230 AM. Cop stopped and approached her because of moving the cone. Matter of fact a drunk friend almost got arrested for arguing it to the cop because we were all saying she was just moving it from the middle of the road.

Why didn't you have to testify if you were standing right there?

Ok. I just called my sister who was one who actually testified. This was when she was in college, she remembers testifying during spring break. So this woulda been 1996-1997. My mind was a little foggy. The jist of is true. The pilon was PUT in the middle of the road by a couple of guys. She went out to move it back. It was outside a bar. When she was trying to move it back (it was hard because she had a broken wrist) that is when the cop saw it and cited her. Sister cannot remember what it was exactly cited for but she did get off because of the testimony.

I didnt have to testify because she had a few of her friends right there. I was a little further away and I guess, across the road, they didnt need a dozen people to testify. I could give you her name at the time, married name, where she grew up, etc.

the chances of a cop literally pulling up at the time you picked up the bag is so small that it makes you all seem paranoid that you would even think like that.

It is def the truth. I called my sister, as it was her friend and I know she had to testify about it. Some of teh details were shady to me as it was a L O N G time ago. We all thought it was BS! We actually think the cop was mad that he didnt get to bust her for underage and figured if he wasted his time he wanted to get some sort of ticket out of it.

It was at The Korner Cafe in Maria Stein Ohio. It was the old one before it was rebuilt. I do not remember, but it may have been constructoiin because they were donig some widening of teh road or whatnot and they had to tear down teh bar and move it back off the road a bit further. It benefited them as the state gave them money to do so and it is much, much nicer now.

Just like the chances of a cop pulling up the second he see's someone messing with a road cone, or crawling into a window...etc.

Paranoid? Eh, maybe. Probably the same reason why I used to drive .2 miles home from the bar anytime I had more than 2 beers. I try not to put myself into a position to get fucked on something stupid ya know.

You should stop telling this story, look up at what I wrote, and try to catch the joke that sailed right by you.

Isn't thavoice like 832 years old? I feel like that is factoring into his opinion of the matter.

SVF...still dont get the joke but then again me not very smart.

You said you had a friend that went through that story. I bolded had a friend and said "No way, don't believe it; can't be true".

Meaning, can't be true that you had a friend. C'mon man! :)
  • thavoice
Well ya did said HAD a friend, not HAS a friend. Everyone, even myself, has HAD a friend at some point in their life!

Talking about finding something......couple years ago few of us were running and stopped to take a breather. Down the lttle embankment I saw what looked to be one of those banking folder/bag type of things. And it looked pretty fat. So go down, get it. Walk up and we open it thining it was full of cash....only to find just a bunch of paper in it.

Damn it. For a second we thought we had a nice lil windfall
