Cool Story from the weekend

  • Gblock
So my friends cousin and some of her girlfriends came to columbus for a bachelorette party this past weekend.
They came down got a hotel and then went out about 7pm. soon after one of the girls was complaining that she was not feeling well. she took a cab back the hotel. the rest of the girls continued to celebrate. when they got back to the hotel about 1am she was still not feeling well. they decided to take her to the emergency room.

at the emergency room it was very crowded and she was not able to be seen by a doctor for several more hours. finally she was feeling like she was about to die, she went up to the desk and said that she needed to be seen immediatly because she really felt like she was going to die.

so they took her back and 45 minutes later..

    She had a BABY.

yes indeed she came down from alliance to celbrate and do shots...she s heading back with a child. WTF?

I know a girl that did the same thing, went to the emergency room not feeling well, and had a baby. She had no idea she was pregnant.

...she should just give this kid up right now & let it be raised by wolves. It would then have a much better chance for survival!

Sounds like something right out the tv show "I didn't know I was pregnant".

SMH, was she really fat? How the hell do you not know you're pregnant?

    Dumb. Bish.

My friend that works at a registrar at a hospital saw this happen a few years ago. The woman already had 2 or 3 kids and still had no idea she was expecting. I think it would be crazy to not be able to tell but I believe it really does happen.

This is me (on the right) weighing almost that much (hence the doubs chin) and I am 5'5....I feel like I would notice a baby bump, lol. But who knows.

Lol no. I actually looked through a lot to try and find one. I don't have many full length and I wanted it to be as close as possible to the measurements he described. I obviously wasn't super skinny but I would notice a 9 month baby bump I think.

well she's probably 160+ then she's bigger than Fab...im not great with guessing female weights...i think you look great btw fab so hope my description wasnt offensive by saying she was fat cause shes not and your def not.

No, no not at all. Two girls can look totally different at the same weight and there are too many body types to say anyone who is this tall and weighs this much is fat, etc. (Within reason, obviously. A girl that is 5' and weighs 200 lbs isn't going to look good, lol).

A person's height and weight relation or their appearance shouldn't determine whether they are "fat" or not. Their amount of fat should. Their body fat percentage is what makes a person overly fat or not.

Uhmmm... did she not notice she was missing her period?!

This is actually more prevalent than we think. I had never heard of it before until I visited a friend in Indiana in 2006 (I believe it was that year).\

My buddy's ex-girlfriend was a high school senior and she was in the middle of her basketball season. One day after a practice, game, or scrimmage, she told her mom that she was having these incredible pains in her stomach. She just thought they were really bad cramps. They took her to the hospital and she had a baby. I talked to her and her parents when I was there, they were all shocked at what had happened. The girl had never missed her period, showed no signs, definitely was not heavy or overweight, and she went the full 9 months -- or right close to it.

They told me the hospital gets these pregnant ladies more common than one might think. I forget the odds, it was somewhere like 1 in every 1,000 or something like that is what they said.

The good thing is, it wasn't my buddy's baby, and she never cheated on him. They had broken up and were still good friends when she gave birth. It was just a one-night stand at a party or something like that after my buddy and her had split. Her parents were pretty incredible, they gave her tremendous support.

Right. But not everyone thinks that way. Your body type and the way you carry your weight (aka fat) can make you look like you have more or less of it.

A lot of women that aren't pregnant miss their periods for various reasons. It's also possible to have some bleeding while you're pregnant making it seem like you're just having a period.
  • Gblock
i think whatever pill she was on causes you to only have period a few times a year or something was the story i got.

Someone carrying an appropriate amount of fat in an unusual way is an out of shape person to me...then again I don't really look at people for the purposes of trying to determine if they are fat or out of I shape. When it comes to other people's body it's really none of my business and it's really not that important to me.

I found some articles on it, many are very recent (in the last year or so).

One article said pregnancies/births like this happen 1 in every 2,500 pregnancies.

    WBKO - Kentucky woman
    WISTV - South Carolina woman

The explanation I got from my friend was that she had an anterior placenta, which guarded her abdomen from the kicking and movements of the baby.

I agree. I don't really look at a persons body and judge them. I really couldn't care less how another person looks. I would prefer family and friends be in shape but only because it means they are healthy.

I didn't mean to take the topic in this direction...I just wanted to let Gblock know he didn't offend me, lol.

Here we go again with Con Alma's "I'm special because I view things this way" BS. Apparently there are no fat people because that's not important to him.
