I'm going to download it when I get home. I held off on the betas this time since the entire road to Firefox 4 was a gigantic clusterfuck. -
I Wear PantsIt took longer than I would have liked but non of the betas were bad imo. They said they're going to have Firefox 5 be a lot sooner of a release to FF4 than 4 was to 3 which is nice.

krambmanI just downloaded it and at the moment I'm not terribly pleased. Does anyone know if there's a way to move the tab bar back down below the bookmarks bar where it used to be? It's just too far to get to your tabs at the top. It makes more sense to me to have the bookmarks at the top and the tabs at the bottom. Honestly I don't know why they would change that anyway. It doesn't actually save any room.

bleed_orange_and_blackRight click somewhere at the top then uncheck where it says "Tabs on Top".

Thank you so much! -
I Wear PantsYeah if there's something you don't like about Firefox visually you can change it which is nice.
For instance if you don't like the orange button just right click up top and select "menu bar" to bring back the old style menus. -
chicago510I like that I could just sync my bookmarks and history and passwords with my firefox mobile on android. Neato.

WebFireI downloaded it at work today and used it for a bit. Nice and fast. I would put it at a tie with Chrome right now until I get to use it more.
Funny how FF and IE now resemble Chrome. -
tcarrier32i have no reason to switch from chrome, other than the fact that Google will eventually become skynet.
anyone care to explain the major differences with firefox 4? -

I noticed this. They all look and feel like Chrome, but I like the improvements both made. Even IE isn't too hideous -
I Wear PantsThey all borrow ideas from each other. And most of them took good ideas from Opera and made them better. Opera is the innovator in the browser market who can never gain any marketshare.

krambmanI'm quite pleased with it now that I got the old menu back and moved the tabs back where I wanted them. Now if I could get the refresh button moved over by the Forward/Back buttons again, it's be perfect.

You can move the refresh button.
Firefox 4 moved the reload button inside the address bar, which saves space, but may throw some of you off. If you prefer it where it was, next to the back and forward buttonsm you may not realise you can move it just like a regular toolbar button. If you head into Options > Toolbar Layout, it becomes a regular reload and stop button that you can move around as normal. If you move it away from the rightmost edge of the address bar, it will act like a normal button again. -

Just curious....why? -
WebFireSome people don't like change.

Actually I'm not typically one of those people. I like innovation and improvement. When Facebook changes things up I usually like it. I'm never one of the people complaining about it. Same thing when Windows Vista and Word 2007 were released. Even though most of the changes were drastic I didn't mind.

It doesn't seem as intuitive to me. Having those buttons grouped together just makes more sense. The only time my cursor is ever in that area of the screen is when I'm using one of my search engines. When I'm doing something with a webpage (entering a web address, going back, or refreshing the page) then my cursor is on that part of the window. Just makes sense to me to have those buttons together. -

Gotcha, just was curious.
I usually use the keyboard more than I use the mouse, so it doesn't bother me. CTRL+R works fine for me lol -

I think the idea with that was to save pixels. However I much prefer the unified stop/reload button as well. Which is why I put it back over there. You should too if it's your preference.krambman;722389 wrote: It doesn't seem as intuitive to me. Having those buttons grouped together just makes more sense. krambmanDoes anyone else think that pages take longer to load in FF4 than they did in FF3? When I had 3 pages seemed to load almost instantly. Now when I'm running FF4 it seems like every page I open takes a second or two to load, and some pages (like this website for instance) take a couple of second to load fully. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?
