Never seen an episode. I was surprised it lasted this long though. I just couldn't get into the plot from the previews.

The lead character in this series, Tony Shaloob or something like that...I never could get him out of my head in the context of that old sitcom Wings. In turn, I never connected with this show.

Great ending and I like the way they left things open just in cae they want to have a special or three.

Watched it a few times. I thought it was terrible.

I thought the finale was pretty well done, far better than many finales. Although, the deal with the all the pictures of Trudy's daughter, while in character with Monk, came off as very creepy and stalkerish.

liked the ending. the show was hit or miss from week to week. there are some episodes that I loved, some I didn't. My wife (who was religious about the show) loved the finale.

Finales tend to be pretty bad, and this one was decent. But, I will agree with the sentiment that the pictures/obsession with the daughter of Trudy was creepy. It's one thing if it was his daughter he thought was dead and he was just overzealous about. But this is a girl, who is 26, not related to him, and was raised by a loving family (supposedly). Anyone would be creeped out by what he was doing.

How can anyone say the show was hit or miss or that the plot was terrible? This was a very well written show that lasted 6 seasons. It was far better than some of the other crap they put on tv. I understand people have their own preferences but to say the show had no plot or that it was a hit or miss kind of show is pushing it.

As for the finale it was alright but it left a lot to be desired as far as I am concerned. I just don't think him meeting Trudy's daughter and clinging on to her was a great ending. The only thing that made that a good ending would be if you were supposed to believe he was starting to go back to the way he was when Trudy was alive (i.e the fact that he was going to movies with her). I think Ambrose should have been in it also.
