Their are many things that go on behind the scenes as well he doesnt just get on the mic for two hours a day and be done. Also his kids are not in school year round. I'm sure he wasnt happy with his contract but i know people who have kids who play on the youth football team he coaches and he told them he wanted to be home when his kids walked in the door.
    This argument is downright idiotic.

First, he can basically show up for 2 hours. He honestly isn't the one doing the reserach. His kids are in school 9 months out of the year and are in school at that time slot. Also, his kids are all in sports and he is not the coach of them.

I can't comprehend wtf you are talking about with a 2 hour job how that can take away from your family. YET, and do I mean YET, he can fly around the country doing broadcasting and that take away LESS time than 2 hours of radio?

ALSO (LET ME ADD) He can do what HERBIE did and do the broadcast from his house if he so chose.

They UNDERPAID him and he left for the most part.

A lot more goes into calling games than just flying in the day of the game and putting on a mic.

The guys on the radio show do alot of their own research. I know that guys like like the torg show up 2-3 hours before their show and stay a couple hours after their off the air. Even when they did live broadcasts from where i used to work they showed up 2 hours prior and were on their laptop pretty much the whole time. I'm not saying their job isnt easy but they visit alot of sports blogs and read different newspapers each day before they get on the air. They dont just stroll into the studio 5 mins before air time and get up when the show is over and walk away. I'm sure they did give him a hard time while trying to work out a contract but in the end their not gonna let their national talent walk out the door unless its his choice. I've also heard he will be much more scaled back in doing broadcasting for espn this year including not doing weekly games.

If you listen daily, you'd know, he's been known to not put quite as much research into things. He is there for opinions but he isnt the one laying facts... Even if he did have GRUELING 5 hour day.. umm..okay??
