  At least in Hawaii you can get to high ground relatively quick. But there saying some of the islands could end-up completely underwater for extended periods of time.
  
  US is leaving ships at Pearl Harbor. I guess all I can say about that is I hope they have good data.

  They live on the marine base and they are not being evacuated as of yet. Guess thats decent news.

  One of my good friends has a brother in the Marines that is stationed in Japan....just saw that he and his wife are safe.

  Have a friend who works in Hawaii for the Gov and has been evacuated.

  My wife is a 2nd lieut in the USAF. We were supposed to already be at misawa air base. Which if you saw all the videos of the water with the cars in it, base is about 12 miles north of that. My wife decided to take leave for a week to see family before we left. So we are sitting here in Seattle waiting for word on if we will be getting to reach base or not. We were told all on base are accounted for and that they only avacuated the base commander. Also they let some us flights land on base instead of going to the other international airports. When we are told things I'll try to come back to update the thread.
