Exactly. COD is very linear compared to BF with NO structural damage. It's awesome while playing BF and you roll up in a tank in front of a building or house that's nesting a couple of guys shooting out the window and just blow the shit out of it. -
I Wear PantsAnd then proceed to make the building fall down entirely.

TedShecklerI am so excited for this game. I'm a Battlefield fanboi. I've logged 45 hours of BF1942, 275 hours of BF2, 593 hours of BF2142, 346 hours of BF:BC2, and just a few of BF:Vietnam.
I'm thinking that BF3 might break all those records.
Sent you a friend request. http://steamcommunity.com/id/deltadeuce/dlazz;744230 wrote:Hells no. You can add me on Steam if you want, my username here is the same on Steam. -
McFly1955I'm very excited for this one. I got super bored of Black Ops in about a month and went back to good ol' BC2 --- awesome game.
I'm getting Portal 2 today, Brink in a couple weeks, and La Noire in a couple weeks, hopefully that will be enough to hold me over until Battlefield 3 -- woot. -
TedShecklerI've played about an hour into Portal 2. It's awesome so far.
Anyone want to make a OC Steam group?
-
I Wear PantsSame shit happened with one of my classes when Halo 3 came out. I like when professors are aware that people would much rather be other places on certain days and wouldn't really be paying attention.
-
hoops23Lol that's awesome.
-
dlazzI didn't fake illness, I just woke up and decided that Spanish was a waste of my time.
-
j_crazyi've never played portal. looks like a game i could get into though.
-
I Wear PantsPortal is excellent and is only $9.99 on Steam. No reason to not own it. One of the most entertaining gaming experiences I've had.
-
dlazzYou missed out j_crazy. I had two copies I gave away yesterday.
-
bases_loadedWTF is steam
-
I Wear PantsOh dear lord.

Steam is a service that functions sort of like the Xbox Live of PC gaming. But better. You can purchase all your games on Steam (and they have incredible sales frequently) and then play with friends, there's achievements, etc. It's a really great service.
Edit: For example Dlazz just started playing TF2. -

You're god damn right I did. -
TedShecklerAbout 10 hours of Portal 2 for me today. Co-op is fantastic. You definitely need a mic to communicate.
-
WebFireToo lazy to look up right now...what is the release date for BF3?
-
TedShecklerPretty sure it's November.
-
TedShecklerI created an Ohio Chatter Steam group.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ohiochatter
Join and we'll be able to see who's playing what and when. -
I Wear PantsJoined.
-
dlazzI joined as well, however, I think it'll only be us three.

Amazon has 12/31/2011, MW3 11/08/11. But none of that matters...TedSheckler;745759 wrote:Pretty sure it's November.
