MTV's Jersey Shore Show
-
burt07The show was everything I wanted and more.
If you want to see THE greatness about the Jersey Shore, go right here to the original MTV program about the Jersey Shore, the True Life version from 6 years ago.

mexappeal12This show is the most awful thing on TV.... AND I LOVE IT!!!! hahaha I've never seen a group of people who love and perpetuate their own stereotype.
-
NateThey will be the next cast of Tool Academy also.
-
v_falconsthe pit pumping monkey was the worst. . maybe TOOL Academy will be interested in them most definitely^^ .
-
2quik4uReal World/ Road Rules vs Jersey Shore Challenge
hopefully they make this happen -
raiderbuckI heard that one girl gets decked in the face in one of the episodes? Just set the DVR, I've GOT to see this!
-
Strapping Young LadIs it OK to hate Italians from NJ???? I realize it might be racist, but it's acceptable in this instance, right???
-
rookie_j70Damn MTV!!!! you've done it to me again. everytime you put a stupid show that makes me want to vomit in disgust. I somehow manage to end up wtaching the whole season.
-
raiderbuckFWIW, at least that Vinny kid (the gif image) has a head on his shoulders. He hates the lip glossed, spike hair, ed hardy shirt wearing guidos just like the rest of the world.
-
IggyPride00I have decided it may be the best show on TV. I particularly love the guy who calls himself "the situation" who talked about how he was going to hook up with that one girl "not if, but when he decided he wanted it to happen" and then she ended up making out with their other roomate in front of him leaving him high and dry.
I just love the commitment to the guido lifestyle, as the one guy went out of his way to tell the audience he was committed enough to it to have a tanning bed in his room at home.
I can see why Italians would be horrified at the reinforcement of the stereotype, but it does not mean I will enjoy the show any less. -

MulvaMTV just manages to lower the bar further every year. I was forced to put up with the show for about 20 minutes last night, because I was at a friends apartment, and it was possibly the worst 20 minutes of television I've ever seen.
-
iluvzI literally can't remember the last time I managed to sit and watch an entire 30 minute tv show... And I sat and watched the entire two hours of this. Its awful, yet utterly fantastic.

Yeah at the end of the episode they showed a clip of it when they were previewing the rest of the season.raiderbuck wrote: I heard that one girl gets decked in the face in one of the episodes? Just set the DVR, I've GOT to see this! -

I'm right there with you... I enjoy trashy television and this is perfect!mexappeal12 wrote: This show is the most awful thing on TV.... AND I LOVE IT!!!! hahaha I've never seen a group of people who love and perpetuate their own stereotype.

ME TOO! I was just talking about the fact that since RR is not longer they need to find a new pool for contestants! This is perfect! -
QuintMy roommate just got finished ranting for about 10 mins about this show. My roommate is Italian, and last night he was flipping through the channels and found it. . . he hates the show!!!! He is positive his dad, who grew up on Jersey Shore, used to act like these guys. . . and he said he can relate to wanting to fight all the time, but he hates that they are celebrating the worst aspects of Italians. . . I was cracking up.

I may be mistaken, but aren't all (or at least most) of the "stars" from this show not from New Jersey? Pretty sure I saw Staten Island, Rhode Island, Poughkipsie (NY), the Bronx, etc ... just watching it, so funny!Strapping Young Lad wrote: Is it OK to hate Italians from NJ???? PS, I went to Seaside Heights the week I graduated high school back in 1993. That place is a DUMP. The more frequented shore towns are Belmar, Mannasquan, etc ... -
bigkahuna^^^You are right
They were from either NY, RI, or NJ. I think one of them was actually from Jersey -

This is pretty much entirely confined to the eastern seaboard. My mom's family is a bunch of big-nosed, hairy-chested, garlic-munching, incense-huffing Vaticanite dagos, but there's only one guy amongst all of them who would ever think of wearing jewelry that wasn't a wedding ring. I've worked with a bunch of Italians, all of whom have the same story. The only one who had guys like this in his family was from somewhere near Philadelphia (Cherry Hill, maybe?).IggyPride00 wrote: I have decided it may be the best show on TV. I visited friends at Seton Hall a few years back and we made a trip there one night and I thought that place was a dump. -
xnds1fanI watched it last night and found it very funny.
-
End of LineWatched it last night I laughed so damn hard. I laughed when the guy Mike was like "I'm the Situation!" I sat there thinking to myself, "what the fuck is that suppossed to mean??" I about crapped myself when I say that guy hit that girl in the face lol.

ss7This show kinda sucks but I couldn't turn it off. I just couldn't get enough of how ridiculous these people are.
