I need yet another Christmas Card Photo Idea......

  • VikingFan
Ok....So every year we take the kids pictures in some situation that would relate to Christmas, Photoshop it with a background and send it out....Family, friends, comment every year on them...Some years funny, some years fairly traditional...Have been doing these for 16 years or so...As the kids (2 boys) are getting older this will probably be the last year and we need to go out with a bang. Examples - In the past we have spelled out the word "PEACE" with them as the letters...We have dressed them up as snowmen and photoshopped the dog peeing on them for "Warmest Wishes"...We have photoshopped their heads in snowdrifts with their headless bodies pulling their heads out....Any clever ideas out there for this year? What are the funniest one's that you have seen or done? Thinking of duct taping them..mouth and all..under the tree for "Silent Night"? Whadya think? Too dark?

Scenes from the Nutcracker. Have one kicking the other in the nuts.

Hmmm...This has me thinking..Possibility..I have a couple of friends that their kids would be perfect for this idea. They are younger and real ball busters.

Show us some of your past cards...
  • VikingFan
    Ok...posting examples...

    Traditional

    PEACE

    Belated....We lost our heads..

My personal favorite - Warmest Wishes

I fuzzed out their faces on some to protect their now identity....Enjoy

Will probably end up going with the duct tape unless anyone can come up with something different....

Those are great! I particularly like "PEACE". They are obviously older now and I think it's great that they are still willing to play along. A lot of teens would refuse to do it. Says a lot for how they were raised.

Why thank you....I did have a little resistance last year because I wanted them to get their picture taken with Santa and they wouldn't do it....I had to find a good Santa pic on the web and photoshop them all together in one....My only regret on this one is that I didn't put STATE Championship on the Wish List because we only got Regional Runners-Up...Maybe Santa would have delivered on that one...??? lol

Joe.....your baby is absolutely adorable.....Love the card.....Haven't used the Black/White Photography with the color mixed in yet.....Might try that this year with the duct tape....Maybe duct tape the mouths and use Christmas Lights for bondage on the bods.....Hmmmmm
  • VikingFan
Finished! Names/faces blurred to protect the innocent. Here's pic...Merry Christmas FreeHuddlers!

how do you make the picture black & white with just one color?

    BTW - nice!
  • VikingFan
I used a different program but it looks like photobucket has the option that you can upload your photo and edit it like this for free.

I do have adobe photo elements but haven't experimented much with it. Thanks for the photobucket tip!

Nice tradition you have there ... I hope you can continue it.
