World Cup Draw Predictions

    Can't wait!
  • cbus4life
Soccer is already popular here, so i don't know why people are saying it "never will be."

Yes, maybe not as popular as football and basketball, but it is certainly played by many, and interest continues to grow as far as games on TV goes.

I love how every thread about soccer gets infested with "soccer sucks" posts.

I hope the USA wins but this won't happen. Anyone who wants to place a friendly wager on this?

<20 minutes until the boning ... I mean, draw ... begins.

  • GoChiefs
Not a soccer fan..so it's new to me..watching them explain the drawing process on ESPN. Now my head is spinning..jesus..is it really as difficult as they make it sound?????
  • gorocks99

I introduced my brother in law who is not a fan of soccer to the world cup in 2006 and he loved it! Watched every game, he is all over it ready to go again now! Give it a chance u might like it.

World Cup time is a great time. I try to skip out on work if the US is playing. Or, in the cast of the Ghana match from 2006, drink mimosas before going to work while watching.

Is the drawing towards the END of this 3 hours or middle or what. I will probably watch the whole thing, but I do have shit to do today.

Wow...did you guys see ESPN's Jeremy schaap get his jolly off being in the environment around the Host City!

ESPN.com said the actual draw starts at 12:45.
  • Doodle3451
I believe it starts at 12:45 they then will do it by each pool. With the U.S. is in the second pool so we will know which group we are in by around 1:30.

Question for the gallery, Guiseppe Rossi, big traitor or biggest traitor? Discuss.
  • GoChiefs
Biggest traitor. Another question for the gallery. Who is Guiseppe Rossi?
  • gorocks99
    American-born young star ...

... that plays for the Italian national team.

Yeah Rossi is a dumbass, he would fit so much better with the US team and would actually be appreciated in the US. For Italy, they have so many weapons he's just another striker...especially with Davies going down, he would have a perfect chance to shine.
  • Laley23
Eh, we cant be hypocrites. Benny Feilhaber is from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and we all want Jermanine Jones who is from Frankfurt, Germany to play for the USMNT now that he has switched from the German National Team to ours.
  • gorocks99
We can and will be hypocrites, damn it.

    lol

Ok...As selfish as we all want to be, if given the opportunity to play with Italy a nation with the respect and quality (which is lower than normal. IMO) why would he pass it up to play with the U.S. who many people around the world laugh at.

lol. Rossi would be a star in America, where he isnt in Italy, that is for sure. But I still dont really blame people for this kind of decision. He will have a GREAT chance to win the WC in his 8 years with the national team and plus, he lives in Italy! I fucking LOVE Italy!

    Italy ...
