Yeah, instead of making hundreds of millions, he'll only make 20 million.

I'm sure he will die in poverty. :dodgy:
It'll kill his poor ego though. He'll never break Jack's record now.

    money > records

Well, atleast the proof is there now and no more rumors...that sucks for him. What I want to know is with a smoking hot wife, why in the hell would he feel the need to cheat on her? I know hes on the road a lot but jeez.

    'money > records '

Completely disagree. Tiger already has his money, he could never work again and just live off interest very comfortably, at this point all he has left are the records.

Correct... and that is what feeds his ego.

LOL.......will see about that. BTW, Jack didn't have an ego at all.

I'm sure he'll be standing in a bread line within a month.[/font]

As for this entire story, who gives a rats ass? I surely don't and will watch Tiger dominate golf for years to come.

The media has destroyed a person's right to privacy in this country and I don't care if that person is rich and famous, it's pure bullshit! Athletes back in the 40's, 50's and 60's indulged in things way worse than this, right in front of reporters but there was a privacy line drawn in the sand that they wouldn't cross. Some of sports biggest heroes where creeps but no one knew about it.

If Tiger was having an affair then shame on him but it's not my business to prod in to his private life.

You wish. Kobe has only gotten better since his problems.

Never said Jack didn't have an ego did I?
Jack never had his ego bruised like Tiger will b/c Jack was a family man. Tiger's pretty much the anti-family man.

To compare golf to basketball is too idiotic to even attempt to justify.

Well said. This is exactly how I feel as well. I never admired Tiger for being a great husband, because I didn't know if he was or not. I admire him for his work ethic and skill.

Nobody knows how this will affect anything yet. Who knows, maybe Tiger has been bottling all this up, and once he has a way out, will become a better player.

People cheat on their spouses. Tiger isn't the first. But He needs to think of his kids, and continue to be a father to them. Tiger, as well as anyone, should realize how important a father figure is in a child's life. This is definitely a big black eye for him as far as perceptions go, but it will not crush him.

You're right. Kobe's situation was much worse and he also has teammates that depend on him. I'm now even more sure that this will not have a large negative affect on his game. Actually this may make him better as he could become more focused on his game to take his mind off of his personal problems.

Or maybe Golden Boy finally loses a lot of fans and doesn't have his ass kissed anymore and doesn't respond well to not getting the attention he feels he deserves. He already hates every other golfer who has a huge fan base. He's gonna hate it a lot more now his is going to be smaller.
  • Fab1b
They just read the statement Tiger released on his website on SportsCenter, yep he banged some other chicks! Oh well dude can still swing it (no pun intended) on the golf course and I bet after he wins his first major after this it's all forgotten

I don't believe he feels he deserves attention. If it were up to him, I doubt he would ever give an interview. Tiger is the least media whore type I have ever seen.

You're really making a lot of assumptions. Besides I figured a so called ladies man like yourself would empathize with Tiger.

Or the fact that basketball doesn't take 1/10th of the mental aspect the game of golf does. A lot's going to change for Tiger.. that affects you. It sure isn't going to help his golf game any.

How do you know it will negatively affect his game? O wait, you don't. You want it to negatively affect his game. People react differently to situations. Just like a great QB can be horrible under pressure, and an average QB can look like Joe Montana when the pressure heats up.

No one told him to get married and have kids if he wanted to live that lifetsyle. Any one with a brain would know not to get married if you don't want one girl... especially if you're in Tiger Woods situation.

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.
