Matt Natali - Out

  • Go_Fast_Sports
Maybe the $12 a month was to buy him out? ;)

WOW sucks to be him...Soon JJ will be out of a Job to...
  • Curly J
No sympathy for Matt from me. For all I know he might have been the a-hole that banned me...That I deserved, but it was fun and worth it.

I heard that ESPN picked-up Natali because he made such a name for himself at Bucknuts.

    OK...maybe I heard wrong.

For some reason, I am thinking that he was the a-hole that banned everyone... or at least the one deleting all the posts.

I would say they've seen his excellent analysis on Football Friday Nite, and want him to be on camera. :) Dude struggled to stammer through a 1 minute game preview.

    Frantz is even worse.

    Tough luck.

Hopefully he lands on his feet, but no one to blame but himself.

Possibly someone above him who approved the changes throwing a subordinate under the bus for ass-covering purposes.

That's what came to mind for me as well. I've never seen Matt do anything unreasonable or what I perceived as unfair--from what limited view of him I had, he seemed to be a stand-up guy. Eric Frantz was the one who struck me as a douche.

ESPN just announced Matt Natali has been named the new head coach of Notre Dame.

That's what I'd be guessing. On one of the more recent threads about all the old Huddle stuff, someone posted something about how AAF had said something on their forums and, I believe, Natali came back with a post essentially saying this wasn't his call, but came from above. When you have one of the two guys spearheading the "This is exciting news to move the site forward!" PR campaign suddenly throwing up his hands and saying "IT WASN'T MY IDEA!", it comes off as someone seeing the writing on the wall.

Here's one of the couple of posts that mentioned what supposedly Matt was saying:
