My top 4 off the top of my head..

    1) The Hangover - GOAT comedy
    2) District 9 - Great Sci-fi movie, great all around movie.
    3) Star Trek - Really good movie that had some great moments
    4) Up - Another gem by Pixar

I haven't seen "The Blind side" yet, but I've heard it's a great movie as well..

I'm sure I'll think of some more in a bit..

    The Hangover...by a wide margin.

I thought there were a lot of decent movies, but not a lot of great movies this year.

So I'm in the huge minority here, I still haven't seen The Hangover. But did I Love You, Man come out this year? One of my favorites.

    Up and The Hangover.

Man, I saw the Hangover on a flight back from Europe, and after watching it I thought it was vastly overrated. However, I guess all the great parts were edited out because of the public flight, so I really need to watch it again -- my experience was certainly not as great as everyone else, including all of my friends who swear its the best comedy of all-time. Need to check it out!

    The Hangover.
  • GoChiefs
X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Watchmen, Public Enemy, and Star Trek.

    Ahh, knew I'd forget one...

The Watchmen was a terrific movie as well..

Haven't seen Public Enemies, but it's on my Netflix Queue.

Inglorious Basterds was a good movie, but not great. 1/3 of that movie should not have happened, loved the ending though.

Public Enemies and Inglorious Basterds were both letdowns to me. Public Enemies had to much of a love story in it and Basterds didn't have enough of the actual basterds in it.

I'm pretty sure its just 'Watchmen'. But thats the geek in me coming out.
  • End of Line
    1. District 9
    2. Paranormal Activity
    3. The Hangover
    4. Watchmen
    5. Up
    6. Inglorious Bastards

I think Avatar can be as good if not better than all of these.

I agree. The scenes with the Basterds were pretty damn good. If the movie was about them in it's entirety, it could have been one of the top 3 movies this year, imo..

    Hangover
    Watchmen
    Law Abiding Citizen
    Zombieland

Put me into the group who was let down by Inglorious Basterds. I do agree that if the whole movie solely included the Basterds it could have been great.

I've not seen Law Abiding Citizen yet either, but I've heard mixed reviews on it...

Gamer was another one that I was disappointed in. I liked the idea, but it had too much shit going on....
  • hoops23
I thought The Proposal was actually a pretty good movie as well..

    :(

    Not surprised.......CC:@
  • End of Line
There was hardly any action in Gamer I thought.
  • GoChiefs
Shhhhhhhh about the Gamer..that's on my list of movies this week. Lol

    An Education

    District 9
    Inglorious Basterds
    Watchmen

If they start showing The Road anywhere near me, I have a feeling it will make the list.
  • KnightXC1
    In no particular order

    Star Trek
    Taken
    Monsters vs Aliens
    State of Play
    Up
    The Hangover
    GI Joe
    Inglorious Basterds
    Zombieland

Didn't get to see 500 Days of Summer which was supposed to be very good and have to see Avatar and Sherlock Holmes before finalizing my list. District 9 bored me but had some good parts. Transformers 2 was awful, Harry Potter was just ok, and nothing else truly sticks out to me.
  • wes_mantooth
whoa....I forgot about Zombieland, that is a very good one.
