Any "Mad Men" fans in the house?

BigAppleBuckeyeI absolutely LOVE this show. I was really late to the punch, and I am catching up via DVDs (I am only 6 episodes into Season 2). I work in media, so a lot of the content of this show hits home (although alas, I am not authorized to put strip-club nights on my expense accounts, or smack unsuspecting coeds on their rears).
Any fans?

ptown_trojans_1Huge fan, been a fan since the start of the show. It is really well done, the actors and stories are great and I am a huge fan of the time period. Season 2 was good, but I really enjoyed the end of season 3. Draper is my favorite character, but also a huge fan of Peggy and her rise.

BigAppleBuckeyeCan't wait for Season 3! Don't spoil it yet (please), as I have to catch up.
You can provide a teaser though: do we ever get a good look at Joan's, umm, "twins?" ... -
raiderbuck^^I wish, but in Season 3 Don meets up with a pretty prominent business owner, and more information is revealed about Don's past. DO NOT WIKI Don Draper...because it will spill the beans on his story.
I love this show. I didn't really know much about the characters, so when I watched the episode about Don's past...I was pretty shocked. -
KeithLove this show! It's very well done. Still cracks me up how times have changed. Everyone on this show smokes and drinks...even when pregnant.

swamisezThis show is a great drama, and the characters are so well crafted. I love it.
Season three was the best season IMO, the finale was great television. -
cbus4lifeLove it!

myron pater boswellCount me in.
The pacing is incredibly patient within each episode. Lot of silence, pauses, etc. So I can see how it's so critically panned.
Problem for me is that I'll pop an ambien, watch the 11:00 PM episode, and it slowly becomes hypnotic until I'm out sitting upright in my lounge chair. Thank God for DVR, so I'm able to watch it the next day when I'm back to being coherent.
Oh--and Pete is a twit. -

Critically panned? I thought it was an award-winning show? That said, I agree the pacing can be a bit slow at times. Still I definitely am a fan.myron pater boswell wrote: Count me in.

Terry_TateI've never watched a second of the show, but hearing so many good things about it prompted me to get seasons 1 and 2 on Friday from Amazon.com for $28 with free shipping. Just got it in the mail today and will probably watch an episode or 2 tonight. Good timing with this thread!

BlackDogLove the show. This season's episode on the JFK assassination was absolutely gripping. If you were a young kid at the time it really hits home.
