NWIndianNation01Trying to find all of the cigar smokers on OC.
If you enjoy cigars...
-post some of your favorites
-do you own a humidor? If so, what size?
-about how many cigars do you currently own/have
-are you on any cigar boards? If so, which ones?
-how long have you been smoking cigars?
-Where do you mostly buy your cigars from?
For me...
Faves:
Joya de Nicaragua Celebracion
CAO Vision
CAO Brazilia
Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic
Acid One
Rocky Patel Edge
Opus X
Padron Anniversary 1964 Maduro (PAM 64)
I have (2) 100 ct. humidors, full of random stuff, some bought, some given to me. Plus a small coolerador and some tupperadors.
I would say I have approximately 300-400 cigars.
I post on cigar-mafia and cigarbid.
I have been into cigars for about 2 years or so. (So I am still a noob.)
Best site in the world to buy cigars though is cigarbid...GREAT DEALS! -
NWIndianNation01Thanks to whoever moved this!

thedynasty1998The fiance got me a nice little humidor for last Christmas. It probably holds around 50 and I have probably 20 or so in there. I enjoy a cigar on occasion, but really don't know the first thing about it. Anyone have recommendations for a place to buy a variety pack of cigars? I usually go into the Tinder Box when I'm near and will buy 5 or so based on their recommendations.
-
NWIndianNation01^^^seriously check out cigarbid.com (the ebay of the cigar world) or www.cigarsinternational.com Those two are practically the same site, but one is retail and the other is an auction site for the mother company. You can get great samplers there.
dynasty - what is the best cigar you have smoked to date?
PM me your addy and I will send a care package! -
The GissTwo humiodrs-- 200 stick in my offices, a smaller (100 or so) at home.
Was smoking San Luis Rey Maduro Serie G at the Little Brown Jug-- very nice.
CAO MX2
Love the Licenciados Toro- very unique taste if you can find it.
Everyday smokes- Flor de Jalapa Presidente 8x52
Thompson la Moneda torpedo
(both in maduro)
I do not have room for all i have right now -
gutHave not yet invested in a humidor....Maybe someday, but try to buy in glass cases instead....Used to enjoy about 1 a week but have been off that kick for a while.
My favorite by far is the Partagas 1845. -
Curly JJust got done having an A. Fuente Gran Reserva Chateau Fuente Royal Salute, with a Vintage 2003 Port Wine. Nice smoke. It started to burn uneven at around the 1/2 to 2/3 mark. I let it go out then re-lit it. It finished fine. I am sad now that it's gone, but I let the soldier burn out on it's own. It was given to me by a friend, so I wasn't out the $7.50, but would spend that much to have it again. I really enjoyed it.

THE4RINGZI like a dark full flavor cigar so tonight I smoked a Man O' War. A dark oily cigar. Good cigar if you like that type. Costs around $10.00 per stick.
-
THE4RINGZEveryday cigar for me is a Fuente 858 or a Punch Churchill maduro.
-
Curly JWell I don't have an everyday Cigar as I don't smoke a cigar everyday. I am however having a CAO Gold Vintage tonight after my previous cigar....and it's tasting mighty fine as always. I guess I should say might Mild as always.
-
NWIndianNation01I also don't have an everyday smoke...I usually only have a couple a month.
Except, I went to a HERF last summer where I smoke 23 cigars in less than 2 days...fun stuff....had one with a beer for breakfast! -
THE4RINGZYou know it is going to be a good day when your breakfast consists of a beer and a cigar.

CenterBHSFanI don't smoke cigars (used to enjoy one on NYE) but I love the smell of them. Grew up around them, so it's never really bothered me.
My uncle has a humidor the size of a gun rack that he got from Marsh Wheeling Stogies when they went out of business. It's very old but still works perfectly and he won't ever give it up.
He has all kinds of cigars in it, some he smokes daily, some for special occasions, some for poker night which he shares with his buddies and some that he'll never smoke. -
UA5straightin2008i love cigars, but like someone else said i dont really know much about them...i have my old roommate who is from the Dominican Republic send me some Leon Jimenes every once in a while, and went to a cigar store and just bought 2 recommended ones for the 4th of july this past summer...but again i wouldnt really know how to describe what i "like"

KR1245I love a good cigar. My dad and I usually get some good ones for the holidays. I think we were smoking Padron Family Reserve no.45 Maduro last year. They were about 25 bucks a pop. Chillin out on the deck around the firepit while smoking a good cigar is quickly becoming one of my favorite holiday traditions.
I'm looking to buy my old man some nice cigars for Christmas.........any suggestions? -
Curly JOkay to get this back about Cigars instead of Cigar Guy, who is EPIC none the less !!! I did have another LFD (La Flor Dominicana) and it was as bad as the Cuban Press LFD that I had earlier in the week.
Has anyone else ever tried them. I mean their cigars 'look' nice, but smoke for shit. (at least for me) The first third had so much air that I thought I was smoking a Vantage Cigarette...yea the one with the whole venturi effect. Which was what I felt with their Cuban Press Cigar...oh well, never again.
But, I did have a nice CAO MX2 tonight. It's been a while since I had one of those. I like the thick richness of it that I missed with the LDF last night.
Oh well. The weekend is coming and I might have another one or four before it's over. -
imneverwrongI enjoy a nice cigar but don't know a lot either.
Anyone in any cigar clubs? -
#1DBag
-
The GissI've got a couple Newman BrickHouse Toros (6x52) to try. Smoking one after our seeding meeting this afternoon... hopefully celebrating a #1.
Nicaraguan-- relatively new line and supposed to be a pretty big smoke-- and reataively reasonable. CA gave them a 91 when introdcued. -
