GoChiefsBowl of Chili! So..got me wondering..what's your chili recipes? Any 'secret' ingredients? Wife and son doesn't like it spicy..so I don't make it that way..I don't have a 'set' recipe..hamburger, kidney beans, and tomato juice. When I'm frying my hamburger up..I add any herbs and spices that look good in the cabinet..a couple dashes of liquid smoke..and my secret ingredient..A1 Steak Sauce! I also add about 3/4 of a cup of sugar to the chili when it's all mixed together.

Cleveland BuckChili has to have some heat though. I think I'm going to have to make chili tomorrow. You got it in my head. Just brown some beef with garlic, diced onions, green pepper, and a jalapeno or two and some lemon juice. Then throw in some crushed tomatoes or some spaghetti sauce and a some beer. Salt, pepper, whatever spices look good, some cumin, some cayenne, and some brown sugar. Throw in some beans if you wish.

HereticI go to the races at Mid-Ohio for my job (ie: my alcoholism....but I take pictures for my paper). One weekend, our group at the Carosel corner has a Chili cookoff. I've judged it a handful of times. It's great stuff!

AppleAutumn = Football = Chili
I made a huge pot last weekend and the majority of it is in the freezer just waiting to bring it out while watching games on the weekend.
The recipe is secret. If I told you, you would be remembered as the next Jimmy Hoffa... -
