    Do they play linebacker?

I know Singletary and Mills did.

Nice reference, keebler. ;) Sam and Mike I can see, but it's amazing that every team has a guy named Will - I wouldn't have thought that was that common a name. Are they linebackers because of their name or if you become a linebacker, do you have to change your name??

    Don't forget Mike's sister Meg

Oh and Uncle Buck and his dog Rover.

What do you call the forth linebacker in a 3-4?

Different teams do it different ways. Most 3-4 schemes that I've seen go Stud/Whip and Call/Okie for the 4 LBs.

    Or they'll go Sam/Will with Anchor/Quick.

Michigan, when they ran the old 3-4, called the 4th backer the "Tiger" back.

Meg is commonly the middle weak linebacker....buck is sometimes a linebacker..sometimes a safety..rover is usually a strong safety...really mike, sam, and will are the only universal ones

When I played in high school team we ran a 4-4 and had the Sam and Will for inside LBs and we called our strong side OLB the Lion (our mascot) and the back side OLB was call the Hero.
