Hogan vs Flair

MANAZEWho is the bigger legend?
Since they are going to be fighting it over in Australia I thought I'd ask the question who you think the bigger legend is.
I think Flair is really a better wrestler and a bigger legend in the wrestling world, but Hogan is the biggest wrestling name known because of his movies. I was watching some old Hogan matches and he had some decent matches back in the day but if you watch old Flair matches they would still hold up to what the main events are today. So I'd say Flair is the bigger legend. -
ChesapeakeFlair but Hogan will get the bigger pop 10 times out of 10.

Where's the poll? -
baseballstud24Hogan by far is the bigger star.
Flair is the better wrestler.
Let's just say this. If there were no Hogan, wrestling would never be what it is today. If there were no Flair, wrestling would still be big. Hogan took it to a whole new level. Like MJ did with basketball and like Tiger has done with golf. -

I partially agree with that. Flair did a hell of a lot for wrestling too. You're right though, Hogan did take it to the top.baseballstud24 wrote: Hogan by far is the bigger star.

Trueblue23Depends on how you look at it.. Hogan is shit in the ring. The dude's ego won't allow him to drop matches he rightfully should lose (Sting vs Hogan Starcade 1997) and he is known to play his creative control card more than anyone in the business. I'd personally take Flair 10 times out of 10 over Hulk Hogan.

HeelzHogan is the bigger legend hands down, my wife was in and elavator once with Flair ( she said he was a really nice guy) but she had no idea who he was ( bare in mind she doesn't really watch wrestling) but if you put a pic up of Hogan she knows who that is. Just saying that a bigger star is more known by people who don't watch that particular sport or whatever they are in. IMO

tiger1990Hogan is the bigger star because of the national stage he was on in the 80's - but he's a cration on Vince McMahon. Flair made his name as a regional icon in the NWA, where most events took place only in Georgia & the Carolinas. Flair came to the WWE as a legend, and further enhanced that when WCW was born. Flair will always be my guy in this conversation because of all the dedication he put in to being the best in the business and putting over other talent both as a face & a heel. Hogan was annointed as champion...how many remember the farce that match was when he beat the Iron Shiek for his first title? Let me tell you, it was no Ric Flair/Harley Race epic, that's for sure...
