Will you stop buying gas at BP??

  • Mr. 300
Heard this morning on WTAM that a movement is taking place to boycott buying gas at BP stations. Will anyone be joining this??

    Y/N

That's stupid. Won't change my gas buying at all...
  • THE4RINGZ
I never buy gas there anyway so I can't join the protest.
  • cbus4life
Err, misread, meant to say that i will continue to buy at bp.
  • thedynasty1998
    No
  • derek bomar
    I buy gas at Giggle.
  • FatHobbit
I never buy gas their either
  • Swamp Fox
I'm certainly not happy with BP's foul-ups but I never buy BP anyway. I get my gas at Kroger's and I don't think their gas comes from BP. If I find that it does, I would at least entertain thoughts of boycotting.

What is the point of boycotting? Like BP set out to do this on purpose.
  • se-alum
    No.
  • ts1227
I buy gas at wherever I drive by when I'm running low (which is rarely a BP).

There will never be enough people boycotting them for it to accomplish anything, so fuck it.
  • vball10set
nope--even though I buy the majority of my gas at Sam's Ckub,I occassionally buy from BP--and will continue to do so
  • Fab1b
No, too many Americans that work for BP would be affected. This was not on purpose though it was probably bound to happen but again not on purpose.

No..... But I will fart in their general direction.

I'll buy gas at the station that's the greatest value for me when I need it.
  • jmog
I buy gas wherever I am when I'm around 1/4 tank (I don't let my light turn on, and wish my wife didn't in her van).

It makes no difference if its BP, Speedway, Getgo, or Circle K.

I'd say that its probably only BP 1 out of 100 times due to location, its usually Getgo or Speedway.
  • ZWICK 4 PREZ
    Marathon for me.
  • CenterBHSFan
No, I will not stop buying gas at a BP.

Why would anybody even contemplate doing that? lol
Like others have already said, it's not like it was a purposeful thing.
    ::: sigh ::: I guess maybe it's human nature to join a "cause" ?
  • krambman
I buy gas wherever it's cheapest when I need it. o me the name on the front of the station makes no difference, although BP is one of my preferred stations because all of their gas comes from the US and not from the Middle East. They also bought out Sohio which is where my parents always got gas when I was a little kid.

You're correct. A boycott like this won't do anything to BP's bottom line, but it could affect your local BP owner and his employees.

Why? Stop buying BP Gas what would be the reasoning behind this .........Oh! I get it to slap the big Oil Companies, and the Banking and the Insurance Companies and the Stock Market and the Airlines and the Manufacture and the Small Business, and the Investors, and the Fat Kids and the Unions, Hollywood, Professional Athletes ...sorry did mean the last three they have skin in the game ............. slap the hand of everyone else but the government that created problems, encourage fraud, development loop holes, and over looked rules, laws and regulations............ for the interest of who and what?

You want to know what I'm going to stop buying ...... liars, cheater, fraud, and big government bullshit, Public Servant incompetency.

    Seriously?

I can't believe some of the ignorance on this thread, boycotting BP would be retarded, they are likely to already be in deep shit when they have to shell out cash not only to clean up the spill but also the resulting lawsuits and legislation further damaging their future profitability. Why does everyone hate corporate America? They provide JOBS, and I realize that half this forum probably works at McDonalds but guess what McDonalds is a corporation, so you should be thankful.

    Lol

Kroger, Sams and all the rest buy from where ever they get the best price from, same as you smucks, that think gas is different from station to station!

One of us is confused about what the other said and I think it's you. I was saying that I prefer to guy my gas at BP over other stations because they don't import any of their oil from the Middle East but drill for all of their own oil here in the US. Domestic oil = more jobs for Americans, which is why I like getting my gas at BP and which is why I won't be boycotting.

Do I receive any tangible benefit from not buying from BP? Or is this just another, "Do something so you can pretend you're making a difference even though you're really not!" sort of cause that comes up all the time?
