Hunters

    So who on here hunts?

I haven't been bow hunting yet this year, but I just got permission to hunt on my sister's farm, which is a 15 minute drive, rather than trying to hunt on my farm, which is 2 hours away. Hoping I get to go out sat morning.

Sunday I am going rabbit hunting with a friend.

Check in! Post pics from this season if you have any.

Oh yeah, I did hit my limit on Geese, but that is no biggie as I drive up to them on the Gator, get out, and shoot them. Damn flying rats.

This is the first year I've ever bow hunted and haven't gun hunted since 98. I did get a doe a few weeks ago. Used my antlerless tag. Taking off the first couple days of gun season. If I don't get a buck I will probably hunt Saturdays until the end of the season just to fill my tag.

I'd say not making stupid comments on the internet trying to sound cool.

You regular compound bow or crossbow? I crossbow hunt since I am a longgun shooter. Makes it seem like gun season is 4 months long

    Shit, I forgot about that...

I've never been to Big Darby... think it will be a warzone?

I bowhunt with a compound, Elite Z28. I have killed three does so far this year and have seen a ton of bucks but nothing worth shooting.

What makes you a bigger d-bag, being an anti or posting stupid shit on a thread it appears you don't really belong on?

Long time deer gun hunter, took up bowhunting a few years ago. I shoot a gun lefty but my bow righty, just feels natural. No shots taken yet this year. I have enjoyed a yearly trip to Northern NJ to visit my cousin. There are so many deer in their zone that it's unlimited antlerless. We are the only group on a 36 hole country club. This trip always results in venison for the table and freezer. It's better, leaner meat than anything you can get at the grocery.

One doe and one nice buck so far this year.

Taking my son out gun week so he can fill his tag, and i can fill my final tag.

Well I used a crossbow. Only because I didn't decide to take it up until about a week before the season started. Not enough time to learn to shoot a compound. Besides I have scrawny arms and work an office job. If I started to draw on a deer he'd see me struggling, laugh, then run away.:s

I like fishing. not much for hunting. I live in the country and I have a buck on my land that is about a 10 pointer. Plus yesterday while eating lunch three does walked right past the window. I just enjoy waking up and seeing the animals outside. If you hunt to eat I think that is great but just for sport is bs. We only let one hunter on our land and he eats it every year so he gets to continue to hunt here. I think hunting is something that should be taught in school because if we ever get attacked the only ones who are going to survie are the ones that can hunt, fish, etc.

I don't hunt, and never plan to, but I have respect for those who do, as I love eating meat!

Not a fan at all of "trophy hunting," but hunting for food is cool in my book.

I haven't been out hunting in years but I would love to get myself a compound bow and go out hunting on my grandma's land.

I will be out yet again for gun season, hoping to break my 3 year slump this year. I just haven't had a decent shot the last few years.

I just got word this afternoon that my friend caught someone poaching a 6 point off of my property in Coshocton County. Now I have to get a lawyer to try to get civil restitution after the poacher is convicted and pays the state restitution.

    Cooperdale.

Probably won't be any news about it. He was just hunting without permission. You never really hear anything about that.

Are you trying to decide whether to date hunters or posters? :(
