    The Best?
  • jordo212000
I like Zeppelin... but I lean towards the Beatles. I just prefer them. I don't know how you can argue against the influence and contribution to rock n roll that the Beatles made..

    1. Zep
    1b. Beatles

It boils down to preference. I'm a huge blues fan, so I love Zeppelin. They are the best in my book.

    1. Skynyrd
    1a. Zeppelin

I'd probably say the best. While I agree with Jordo about the Beatles' influence, they were more of an "up-and-down" band as far as my opinion of their songs go. With Zeppelin, it's very rare that I hear a song I don't like.
  • BCSbunk
Not a contest The Beatles are the GOAT with EASE.

Led Zeppelin is great no doubt but not nearly the influence of the Beatles.

Really LZ stole a lot of stuff from blues players and did not give them credit on their LPs and it is easy to hear some of the stuff taken from blues players.

BCSbunk is 100% dead on. That is why Pink Floyd is #1 and LZ is #2 in my book

    Hell no. Not even close.

If BCSbunk was really 100% dead on, wouldn't you have the Beatles #1, considered he called them the GOAT?

I know this list is you opinion, but IMO your list is laughable.

Stairway to Heaven = the best song

I like other groups better than LZ but that song ^^ is hard to beat.
  • vball10set
^^hard to argue with you there--the only Beatle's song that may give it a run is Yesterday...if I had to choose, though,I'd say Stairway
  • gerb131
Tough one to call here. I will say YES
  • Cat Food Flambe'
Beatles > Zep. Zep is top five all time, though.

I don't know if Zeppelin is the best, but I'm definitely a huge fan.

But the Beatles are WAY overrated. They get farrrr too much credit for their influence and timing--it doesn't mean they were the best. Mediocre at best, people have just had them forced down their throats for years and years and fucking yearsssssssss.

Really? Actually, Page and Plant reference the blues singers in their concerts and interviews. In fact,"In my time of dying" was a reference to an old blues song from the delta. Page said Robert Johnson was their hero, and that members of the blues had really influenced them.

Watch some of their concerts, they always throw in a reference to the old blues founders.
Plus, their adaptations of the old blues songs were so freaking good.

Stones yeah, but "Can't you hear me knocking" is awesome.

Hendrix, just watch live versions of "Red House" and "Hey Baby: New Rising Sun"

Also, Floyd is the shit. If 1 is Zep, 1b Beatles and 2. is Floyd band wise.
