DeyDurkie5The Best?

jordo212000I like Zeppelin... but I lean towards the Beatles. I just prefer them. I don't know how you can argue against the influence and contribution to rock n roll that the Beatles made..

ptown_trojans_11. Zep
1b. Beatles
It boils down to preference. I'm a huge blues fan, so I love Zeppelin. They are the best in my book. -
THE4RINGZ1. Skynyrd
1a. Zeppelin -
HereticI'd probably say the best. While I agree with Jordo about the Beatles' influence, they were more of an "up-and-down" band as far as my opinion of their songs go. With Zeppelin, it's very rare that I hear a song I don't like.

BCSbunkNot a contest The Beatles are the GOAT with EASE.
Led Zeppelin is great no doubt but not nearly the influence of the Beatles.
Really LZ stole a lot of stuff from blues players and did not give them credit on their LPs and it is easy to hear some of the stuff taken from blues players. -

Woollums9BCSbunk is 100% dead on. That is why Pink Floyd is #1 and LZ is #2 in my book

said_aouitaHell no. Not even close.

Heretic
If BCSbunk was really 100% dead on, wouldn't you have the Beatles #1, considered he called them the GOAT?Woollums9 wrote: BCSbunk is 100% dead on. That is why Pink Floyd is #1 and LZ is #2 in my book -

I like other groups better than LZ but that song ^^ is hard to beat. -
vball10set^^hard to argue with you there--the only Beatle's song that may give it a run is Yesterday...if I had to choose, though,I'd say Stairway
-
gerb131Tough one to call here. I will say YES

SQ_CraziesI don't know if Zeppelin is the best, but I'm definitely a huge fan.
But the Beatles are WAY overrated. They get farrrr too much credit for their influence and timing--it doesn't mean they were the best. Mediocre at best, people have just had them forced down their throats for years and years and fucking yearsssssssss. -

Just like the Stones.
Just like Kiss.
Just like Jimi Hendrix. -

Really? Actually, Page and Plant reference the blues singers in their concerts and interviews. In fact,"In my time of dying" was a reference to an old blues song from the delta. Page said Robert Johnson was their hero, and that members of the blues had really influenced them.BCSbunk wrote: Not a contest The Beatles are the GOAT with EASE.

Watch some of their concerts, they always throw in a reference to the old blues founders.
Plus, their adaptations of the old blues songs were so freaking good.
Stones yeah, but "Can't you hear me knocking" is awesome.SQ_Crazies wrote: Just like the Stones.

Hendrix, just watch live versions of "Red House" and "Hey Baby: New Rising Sun"
Also, Floyd is the shit. If 1 is Zep, 1b Beatles and 2. is Floyd band wise.
