Bought it a week and a half ago or so. Having a motorcycle in San Diego is definitely a great investment.

03' VStar 1100. Trading up to a Harley before the end of the year hopefully but am definitely pleased with what I have!

I'd like to get one eventually. I'll probably wait until I have more than just street parking so I've got a few years.

my fatass on a motorcycle would be too embarassing.

i tried to ride a dirtbike when I was 14 and it was a disaster (I hit a dog house and burnt the fuck out of my legs when the bike fell on me). I'll never be a motorcycle guy.

Should have gotten a gixxer - but of course, I'm biased!

Only 7,500 miles...was actually thinking about selling it

    Nice!

Thanks, going for a motorcycle ride is an absolutely great feeling...especially on a GSXR.

btw descent, I love the old school ride but I would think about trying to find a black seat to put on that thing.

only thing I'm changing as of right now is swapping out the ape hangers for drag bars that came with it. would like to get a 21" frnt wheel, forward controls, probably re-do the paint on the tank to all flat black. anything after that I'm not sure what else.

havnt ridden in 6 years other then today, need to get used to it again as well as get my liscense/insurence and a new helmet seeing as mine was thrown away by parents when I wrecked 6 years ago

Paint that Kowazaki up with some flames, put some bigger ape hangers on it and black leather jacket that says "easy rider" on it... That thing is pimp even though it a Kawasaki knock off brand.

    How does she run?

Road a Yamaha R1 the other day as a test ride... Think I'm gonna pass. 185 HP on a motorcycle is a little too much for me. Think I'll go with a Harley Street Bob tho.

Back in 1968 I bought my first ride 1968 Norton 750
I wasted 2 of my nine lives on that bike but hell I was almost 19 years old I had a few to give...

I used to ride. mini bikes, 125, Honda Shadow, then some Harleys. A friend ran the demo corral during Daytona bike week and I used to get a different free one to use every night. I don't ride anymore because of a back injury and this...
please wear a helmet. it saved my daughter's life 2 years ago. I had told people I didn't want to go to Bristol, I just had a gut feeling. 2 hours after I got there I got the call. It was the same time tornadoes hit Atlanta and everywhere around it, making it tough for me to get back home to the hospital. She had just turned 18 and met a 20 or 21 yr old boy with a R1 a few weeks before. Interstate 4 is flat and straight as can be. She did not know he was going to show off and go fast, and when he went from 70 to 150mph in a few seconds, he could not hear her screaming to stop. She got pulled right off the back by the wind, she couldn't hang on. She heard horns honk and tires screech as she tumbled and slid to a stop. She remembered being eye to eye with a wheel on a car in the right lane. She was aware enough to jump up to get out of the road, but she fell, then she lunged into the median as 2 semi tractor trailers went by in her lane. She got 3rd degree 'road' burns on 35% of her entire body. It was a week later before they told me the truth of the accident circumstances. My dad, my brother, and my 6'8" nephew had to hold me back. 17 days in ICU. The first week included daily extremely painful whirlpool therapy to get the wounds clean. Drain tubes sticking out of her hip and leg for a week. 3 skin grafts and plastic surgeries, one with synthetic skin because there was no place on her to get skin to use. When they sent her home, it was kinda sudden and she had been on morphine, so I got to see what it was like for someone to have 2 days of withdrawals. I learned a lot about faith, prayer, and forgiveness that month.

sorry about the long rant. / don't forget to wear a helmet.
