Best Mascot Stunt EVER?!?!?!

Not really when you consider that it has three different levels to it, and you're dealing with a larger than normal head.bases_loaded wrote: The southeast tower is a rather large area to do a handstand on, skill required = being able to do a handstand.
For this the skill required would be to do a backflip (and not even normal skill to do a back tuck since you're starting so far off the ground) and then have the coordination to put it through the hoop. Is it difficult? Yes. But like I said, with enough practice it could be done by most mascots willing to try it and that have costumes that allow it. -
darbypitcher22I love the dude throwing a roundhouse at the Rockets Bear... that was priceless....

The last three "contestants" on that video were HILARIOUS! I'm not sure which was better: the little girl kicking him in the nuts or the old man slugging him in the face.karen lotz wrote: <object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object> -
sherm03As a former NCAA mascot...I will say that the backflip is the most impressive. My costume was too big...and there was no way I'd be able to do a stunt like this. But even our other mascot's costume (which was more realistic sized) would have made this stunt ridiculously hard. Just climbing the ladder would be tough in costume.
Brutus doing a handstand on the tower is cool...but nowhere near as difficult as this. Sorry krazie... -
slcoachThe Bear video has me in tears. Awesome.

krazie45Agree to disagree then. Sorry, but I just don't think this is the best mascot stunt ever as the thread title states. Is it cool? Yes. Is it difficult? Yes. Is it somewhat dangerous? Yes.
But as a mascot myself, I don't look at this and say "wow that was the greatest stunt ever!" I wasn't necessarily saying the handstand was better, but it was just as dangerous considering it was so high in the air and I was just using it as an example off the top of my head. As I mentioned, I think the Suns gorilla jumping through a hoop of fire is more impressive (since it's ya know...FIRE). I'm telling you that with enough practice, the backflip dunk is doable by any mascot that has a costume capable of it. Just my opinion for what it's worth. -
bases_loadedFire is overated. I've jumped through flames of a camp fire many times.
