If only 1/1,000,000,000 (thats one/one billionth) of the known stars that have planets orbiting them in the universe contain some form of life, that means about 6.5 billion stars have planets that contain life.

When you figure in the law of averages, its almost inevitable to conclude that theres SOME life out there.

There is life out there. The human race may never "meet" other intelligent life, at our current rate it actually looks unlikely. We don't spend nearly enough time figuring out how to get off this planet, which is one common goal that the entire human race could work together towards--but we spent too much time fighting over stories and made up shit. And if man wants to survive, we'll inevitably have to get off of this planet SOMEDAY.

Yes there is extra-terrestrial life out there... the odds and known science virtually prove it.

Now all that is missing is a religion that can make money trying to convince non-believers that it is true.

Please take a minute to understand what I'm saying here and don't take it out of context, because I can already see what someone will say:

This is exactly why Hitler's thinking, while extreme, is necessary to REALLY accomplish something sometimes. I'm not condoning or supporting it, I certainly have nothing more against a Jew than I do someone of any other religion. But this is a good example of how you can't just change minds--people are so set in their ways that it will shatter lives if it's drastically changed. It's human nature. The best way to erase the people you think are holding you back is to kill them off. I'm not saying it's what should happen, like I said, don't take me out of context. That's just why it looks like we'll inevitably never get there. I'm totally down for words but you just can't convince everyone overnight--or over thousands of years even.

People are generally too scared or naive to think about things this big. They think that mankind is just going to continue on their merry way on Earth for the rest of eternity. They don't care to change it because hey, it's not something that will happen in my lifetime. But this is where the fall or our species comes in--greed. We're trying to personally survive but not help the survival of man. Someday, that will catch up with us. Not anyone you know or I know, but someday far down the road. And I just can't understand people who aren't at least somewhat interested in what's out there---once you really learn about what the universe is, how can you not be extremely curious about it? It's more amazing than Earth and mankind combined.

Space and universe is an amazing and very interesting topic.

IMO, there is NO WAY IN HELL our planet is the only one in the universe that houses life.
  • SQ_Crazies
It's unlikely that it's the only one in our small part of the Milky Way galaxy, let alone other galaxies.

Hell, as far as we know, there could be life in/on one of the other planets in our solar system.

I mean depending on who you talk to, there are people who will tell you Armstrong saw creatures on the moon (and civs and fires down in the bottom of craters) and it's the biggest cover up ever.

I don't tend to believe in conspiracies that much--but you never know, I certainly don't put it past people in power to keep secrets.

Perhaps somewhere out in the farthest reaches of a galaxy far, far away there is life, but probably not as we know it.

I can honestly say I don't know, and surprised there aren't more "don't knows" out there as no one knows for sure.
  • vball10set
of course there is--we'd be narrow minded and naive to think we're the only intelligent life in the entire universe...
  • Fab1b
    They are already here:

I'd say the percent chance of there being other intelligent life out there is 100%.

I about lost it on this post. Fab1b...you've outdone yourself! HILARIOUS!

There is no way, as vast as "space" is....that there is not another planet out there with life on it. Whether it be intelligent life or not....someplace, somewhere....it is ignorant not to believe that there is life other than our own.
