Did anyone get a chance to see this last week, it aired on MSNBC? Wow that is all I can say. Pretty unnerving.

    no

I caught the episodes on Thursday I believe. The guy was fucked up and rather intelligent. The tapes left me asking as many questions as they answered
  • Fab1b
    THE4RINGZ I totally agree

F*ck him. I hope he's burning in hell right now.
  • Fab1b
Trust me fuck him is right, but getting to hear what is in the mind of a person like that is very interesting at least to me. I have not one bit of sorrow for that son of a bitch, but to see how someone like him could pull off something so earth shattering is crazy shit!

Obviously you missed the point of the show, this thread and any responses contained in it.

    Pretty disturbing stuff.

He does sound rather intelligent. Hard to believe.

I watched it the other day, shit was nuts

Very disturbing. Whoever said, "It left me with as many questions as it answered" I completely agree. I hope this does not come off as sounding sadistic, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode and listening to what it is like to enter the mind of a psychopath.

People are drawn to fucked up shit, look at the news these days. Doesn't mean you're fucked up, so no need for anyone to apologize for enjoying this. It's interesting to look into the mind of someone much different than you. Curiosity is something we all share.

The way he laughs when he talks about being on the Most Evil People of the Millennium list gives me chills.
  • CenterBHSFan
I watched about 2 minutes of it while channel surfing.
The segment I saw was when he was saying "Get over it" while talking about all the children, mothers, sisters, fathers, etc. dying.

haven't seen it, but may have to check it out

For those that watched it question....

Do you think McVeigh planned to get caught and purposely left a "scent" trail behind as he commented he did or was he making up his story as he rolled along to sound "more evil" than he really was? I honestly thought after the bombing driving the car without plates was not on purpose but a mistake he over looked, after that it went downhill from there and he was scared as hell, not defiant as he portrayed. He said those words on tape though to haunt citizens forever and he has accomplished that but I don't think it was his mission as it was going down!

Yeah... in some weird sadistic way, part of me KIND OF understood what he was saying (in that you HAVE TO move on), but wow... talk about arrogance and apathy.

There is no question McVeigh was extremely diligent about every little fine ingredient of this sadistic plan. However, like you, I too believe he completely overlooked the license plate thing. I do not believe this was intentional. The ONLY thing that makes me hesitant in saying this, is how did he get the "get away" car to the parking lot WITHOUT the license plate in the first place? Surely a cop would have noticed this before, right?

So again... I believe McVeigh was extremely thorough in almost every aspect of his plan, but I do NOT believe he intentionally planned to get caught. I too believe he simply got caught and decided to 'roll with it' so to speak.

I thought it was odd that he used different names for the truck rental and other purchases, but used his real name to check into the hotel he stayed in that during the bombing.

Agreed. Very odd, indeed. If he was "smart" enough to use a different name at the truck rental place, then why was he so "dumb" to use his real name at the hotel just down the street?

Hotels normally require a credit card/ID, do they not?

So do truck rental places, and he was able to fool them.

I've seen, a couple of times on the highway, cars without a plate in the appropriated spot or in the back window.
I've just always thought that maybe it fell off and they didn't know about it (?) or somebody stole it and they didn't know about it (?) or they were up to no good.
Any which way, it does happen and they don't seem to get pulled over for it, as far as I know...

I think the difference lies in the fact that the average person might have that sentiment for the value of empathy for the victims/families.

HE on the other hand had that thought out of sheer desensitivity and indolence.
