NateSuggestions for driving to Myrtle Beach from Bellevue?
Mapquest has me taking 250 to 77 which sound HORRIBLE>
Yahoo Maps has me taking the turnpike to 8 south to 77.
Any suggestions? Thanks! -
WooballI live in Dover, and it really doesn't matter which way you take to get to 77. Going to Cedar Point I have gone both 250 and the Turnpike and it is pretty much the same. If traffic is thin, 250 is the best, if not that drive on 250 can be very aggravating.

UA5straightin2008hm, i would have to say 250 to 77 or the turnpike to 8 south to 77

mattinctownI live in Charlotte, just make sure you don't take 77 to 74, pick up 52 in Mt. Airy, then take 40 all the way down. 74 is a nightmare this time of year, everyone going to the beach.

ChesapeakeI take Interstate 77 to Interstate 20 in Columbia then over.

mattinctownFrom what I hear that ^^^ is another good option, have never taken it.

250 does suck. But I can not think of any other route that runs any sort of southeast direction from Bellevue. Unless you would rather take 269 to 4 to Cbus and 70 east from there, but that might be even longer.Keebler wrote: Suggestions for driving to Myrtle Beach from Bellevue?

By looking on the map, it looks like you'd be backtracking a little but it didn't feel that way. -
LJDrive really far south, then go east until you hit the ocean

Good call, 40 to Wilmington then 17 to Myrtle Beach isn't bad at all. I have relatives north of Wilmington so I've made that trip enough times.mattinctown wrote: I live in Charlotte, just make sure you don't take 77 to 74, pick up 52 in Mt. To clarify, you DO want to take I-74 (the first exit on 77 once you enter NC from VA) around Mt. Airy over to US 52. Then you hit I-40 in Winston-Salem and just go.
You DON'T want to pick US 74 down by Charlotte and take it across the state. Bad idea.
Since they decided to number that 10 mile bypass around Mt. Airy 74 as well, it makes it a little confusing (now if NC would ever actually build I-73 and 74 completely the numbers would make sense.
