Anyone done some camping this year?

  • Fab1b
Heading out tomorrow morning through Sunday for some camping at Ginnie Springs, just outside High Springs, FL. Beautiful crystal clear water, snorkeling, woods, woman, friends, green, beer, grilling, cornhole! I can't freaking wait to hit the road in the morning.

This is where we are heading, one of my favorite places hit it a few times every year:

Why would I do that when I could just watch tv shows about camping?

Have not gone camping yet, but I have the new tent just itching to get out there. Already have reservations up at Acadia National Park in Maine for mid-summer, going to the UP of Michigan in July, and headed up to Lake Champlain in Vermont.

Last summer I made it to way northern Maine, up by Nova Scotia/Bay of Fundy. Was beautiful, but one heck of a drive.

I'm obsessed with camping. Haven't gone yet this year but I'd like to take a few trips. Maybe some long weekends to East Harbor or the Hocking Hills area.

Went camping the first week of March in Florida with Apple. We were 400 feet from a beach on Siesta Key. It was awesome.

I hope you beat the storms getting out today. Ginnie Springs is great.
I've tailgated many times with friends from High Springs. His grill/smoker is a trailer behind his pickup.
My tent was 10 yrs old and died at the Rolex 24 this year. Too many rips.
I still haven't got a new tent, but I'm planning to camp in the keys soon.
