"I'll have a small order of fries" - Me

"Steve, get a gallon of fries for this gentleman" - Cashier

"No sir, I just need a small" - Me

"He says you barely gave him any last time, fill his bag with them!" - Cashier

Meh, I was not impressed. I could get just as good, if not better burger at Wendy's for much cheaper. If I really wanted to go out and get a burger, I go to Thurman's Cafe.

I thought the fries were outstanding, have had better burgers though.

    Fries are the GOAT.

And I was doing so well on my latest diet. Oh well! Perhaps I can order an extra large diet coke to wash the burger and fries (plus the overflow fries that evidently get thrown into the bag). The next time I'm in Toledo I plan on trying this place. I love good burger joints.

Had to laugh when they handed us the grease soaked brown bag containing our food. It is what it is and I thought it was a very tastey burger. My 19 year old son who eats any and everything couldn't even eat all the fries they gave us, and we shared a large.

Had it yesterday! Best hamburger you can get at a fast food restaurant, if that's how it's defined.

I'd call it a Diner, Steak and Shake is a diner and they have a drive thru, 5 Guys does not.

Next time I am in Toledo, I will definitely be trying. I may actually try it Saturday on my way through Columbus.

I ate at the one across from the Southern Park Mall in Boardman and it was very good.

I'm about 2 miles from the new place in Toledo--- looking forward to trying it out Sunday.

So how does it work? Do you just go in and order like Subway and leave or eat in? I'd rather get the food and bring it home to eat it with some football....Anyone?

    McFly,

Yes, just like any other fast food joint, just order to go or eat in, except you have to wait about 4-5 minutes for your food as it is all cooked to order. it is an open kitchen most places so you can see your food being made. While eating in the restaurant one time, i was about 1/3 of the way through my bag of fries when one of the kitchen workers came up to me and told me he didnt think the fries he gave me were up to snuff, so he gave me another full bag that were crisp and piping hot. Always had great service there and i go back a lot.

    Awesome - thanks...

I'm pretty excited - after looking at the nutritional info online I've gathered that a large order of fries is a buttload of fries...

I'm probably going to go with a bacon burger and fries.

Pretty good food. There's one in right down the street here where I work (Silver Spring, MD). Swenson's still has the best burger IMO.

Swenson's is pretty good, only had it when I was hammered and it was cold but still a damn good burger.
Five Guys is better in my book though.

Fab, come visit me and i'll buy you a burger.

What a cheapskate way to advertise your business! I'll bet your tours are just as lousy.

Five guys is AWESOME! And their fries are good too.
  • dancinbear

Frankly, I think it's a bit overrated. Yes, the fries are excellent (and they give you a ton), but the burgers aren't outstanding (granted, they are better than Wendys, BK, McDonalds, etc.) . . . . and the place is definitely overpriced.

As far as Columbus is concerned, Graffiti Burger dominates Five Guys, hands down. Graffiti Burger has much better burgers, their milkshakes are outstanding, and their fries are on par with Five Guys.
