    When were you at Ashland?

And yeah, I knew a few kids that got kicked out for bad grades and I was only there for one year.

I believe it. Private schools start flunking too many people out = not getting the outrageous tuition they charge.

I also knew a few people transfer in who said that Otterbein graded a lot harder than where they used to go (1 girl went to Kent and 1 girl had gone to Denison).
FWIW my ex transferred from Otterbein to OSU and she said the same thing.

Nail on the head. The most annoying thing about college is that I am surrounded by people I know are less intelligent than I am, but get better grades.

I think having common sense and logic trumps booksmarts.

My gf was saying over a year ago before she started her vet school clinics, that she heard that the clinics year really separated people who are actually smart from people who are book smart. She had a few rotations with the girl who had the highest GPA going into clinics and that girl would screw up so much and got lots of B- and C+'s during clinics. On the other hand some people went into clinics with a C+ average and averaged an A- in clinics.

well, IMO, the education you're getting isn't about the grade. That shit doesn't matter. The material is what matters. If you feel you aren't getting a good education, then do more research. Take more time. Challenge the professor. Question them. Force them to educate you.
