    Bleacher bumming it?

One small tidbit. Dont refer to it as a stadium. It is Wrigley Field. When Jeff Gordon sang "Take me out to the ballgame" one year he said he was so happy to be at Wrigley Stadium. The crowd bood him for that faux paus.

Enjoy the game. Wrigley and Fenway are on my Bucket List.

    Highly recommend the bleachers!

Better baseball is played on the South side.

The bleachers are fun (been twice for Reds games) but man that place is a dump. I felt like it could crumble at any second.

With all these quakes I feel like that everyday. Bodes well for your SF trip....

Chicago is a nice city. Wrigley is overrated.

You can almost feel the history when you are at Wrigley. Dont expect any type of amenities though. You can get a hot dog and a beer but it was pretty acient behind the scenes. Ive heard the new owner spent 50 million though on upgrades. Id assume bathrooms and concessions are better than when I was there.

Day game? Alcohol? Wrigley? Let's defer to the authority on that....Lee Elia.

had the same thought years ago when I went to old Milwaukee County Stadium...that place was an absolute anachronism by the time it was torn down for Miller Park.
Actually went to the auction/sale when they cleared the place out before the wrecking ball came.
They literally sold everything. Seats, urinals, dugout phones, sheet metal siding, doors.
    Very cool.

since it isnt in a traditional location what is the best way to park? i am headed there in a few week. we arent staying in chicago, just passing through and seeing a game on the way.

I think this website is a dump and could crumble at any second.... :@

To me, Wrigley is a slice of Heaven. I love everything about it. The newer, cleaner, more updated stadiums are nice....but going to Wrigley is better.

Park close to the road you are "passing through" on and take the El Train. It's the cheapest ($1.50 per person) and best way to get there, with it's own special stop just for Wrigleyville.

Wrigley, Bleachers, Alcohol sounds like a recipe for a great day or potential disaster if they get their ass kicked

Went to Chicago for the first time ever 3 years ago in the Spring and caught the Reds playing at Wrigley. Great experience, stayed downtown, road the El Train and enjoyed the city. I am heading back with the family for a long weekend at the beginning of May. Love Chicago!

Got to go in 1999...Sammy hit 2 HR's and the stadium got buzzed by a fighter jet that was part of the Air Show. Couldn't have been better.

Scalped 2 tickets for $50 ea. 3rd base side, halfway back.

    Great experience.

Would have to agree with you there SnotBubbles ... while I have yet to visit Wrigley (but I hope to soon), I have been to Fenway Park. And while San Francisco's AT&T Park is by far the "nicest" park I have ever visited, the Fenway experience is unmatched. Just love those old ballparks, it was 100% the reason I used to go to Yankee games at the old stadium (I have little interest in going to their new amusement park in the Bronx, blah) ...

did the "day-night' Chicago thing a few years ago.......

(I did not realize until later how few days per season the Sox and Cubs are in town at the same time...)

    watched the Reds vs. Cubs at Wrigley in the afternoon...then hit the freeway for the slow 'stop and go' drive to the southside;
to catch the Red Sox vs. White Sox for the night game...

then drove home to NW Ohio after the game.
    that was a big day.

Take the El. haha. I dont think you will have much success trying to park anywhere near the stadium. The 3 times I have been I just park downtown (at my at the time girlfriends apartment) and took the El.

I'm not a baseball fan, but I've been to two games already this year and I loved it. Sooo many fine milfs in slutty Soriano jerseys. Gotta love it.
