How dangerous is it to drive with a leaking intake manifold? Went to have the oil changed today, and was told of the problem... Any guess as to the approximate cost (2003 Grand Prix)

Short term...not bad. Long term the engine will seize up. probably cost around 700-800 bones.

had that same problem with my 2003 Olds Alero, went to have my oil changed and was told my ontake manifold was leaking coolant. They said it wasn't an immediate problem, BUT dont just ignore it. My uncle has a small shop he runs and it cost me about $450ish and took about 7 hours to fix.

I'd have bet anything before I read what the car was that it was a 97-04 GM car. My lumina did the same thing, as has pretty much every single car that GM produced that had that engine in it. What a terrible design, and even worse they never fixed it even knowing it was an issue.
