Walmart Black Friday Ad

  • Jugador11
This year's Black Friday deals just aren't doing it for me. I'm really only out for a TV, but I've seen much better deals in weekly ads for a TV I'm looking for (46"+ and brand name). Probably hold out until the Super Bowl since TVs usually go on sale then, but if I see something before that, I'll jump on it. The Rock Band looks good as well, but I was able to pick that up at Wal-Mart about a month ago for $50.

I'll still be going out, but not until 8 or 9 to see what's left to pick up. Good luck to all who are looking for something big.

Same here. I am in the market for a 42 or 46" tv. Nothing there strikes me as worth the hassle.

Before it was basically a free for all, but now you must stand in line to get a ticket for an item, and you can pick that item up at customer service a few different locations in the store that are more secure.
You still work for Walmart? I am assuming what you are describing is for the big ticket items (i.e. tv's, computers, etc.) It won't be the same for small items like blu-ray's, will it?
Yep sure do. They are expecting bigger crowds this year than any other year they've done this. If I understand correctly, it will be like this for the bigger items and all electronics. Bikes, power wheels, etc. will still be on skids wrapped in black plastic.

But I thought the economy was shot?

This is off topic -- just wanted to say I like your screen name

I MIGHT try Black Friday this year just to get a better gaming TV than the smallish one I have. Playing Dragon Age: Origins isn't as much fun as it could be when I constantly have to stand up to see exactly how one sword or helmet is superior to another. On the other hand, the exercise I get from doing so might help balance out the number of hours I spend glued to my ass in the office and at home.....

    Agreed....although a massive understatement.

Last year, Best Buy had some of their doorbusters online as well. I bought the Transformers bluray for $10.

Now, now, now, I'm not playing this game because I'm a big AD&D-style geek. I'm playing because it (and other games like it) has hot fantasy-world women that I can obscess over instead of leaving my house to hook up with real-world women.....

    Wait...damn....that isn't helping my case.....

Cartoony fake women > real life women

    Jessica Rabbit......nuff said.

the tickets are for the "door buster" deals, the things that are limit 1 per person, and so many per store I would assume.

sears had the best black friday deal I saw on TV's last year. I got mine for $799 (I think). 42" LCD 1080p.

I still play World of Warcraft, and think Bioware is the best company known to man, as far as games are concerned. :D

P.S. I sometimes do black friday, but not to buy anything, usually just hang out at Wal-Mart and watch the madness. Good times.

The store I work at is full of the same assholes that inhibit Walmart... I went to Walmart two black Fridays ago and it was insane. I literally thought I was going to see some fists fly back in the electronics department.

By the way, wasn't it our Best Buy that had the punch thrown in the lobby that made that "Black Friday" tv special?
Not sure, I've only been up here a little over a year

All I want are Braveheart, Boondock Saints, and Dark Knight on Blu-Ray. Thanks, Wal-mart! Might run to the Target next door for House seasons 1-4.

I've done the black friday thing a few times (when I'm not working it haha) and for whatever reason WalMart's line always has the assholes. BBY's is much more organized and friendly (Friendlier anyway lol)

I usually break out the hockey equipment if I'm going to be out that day. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" quite like strapping on the elbow pads and, depending on where you're going, puttin' on the foil.
