What kind of basketball do you use?

    Answer: Who gives a shit?

Is golf the only game where people have irrational opinions about what equipment is better? Any game where a player can have the advantage by buying superior equipment is not a game, but a giant WASTE OF TIME.

You don't really get an advantage with different equipment. Though you could get a disadvantage using the wrong equipment. Clubs or balls that match your swing and level of skill/ability will obviously help to lower your scores. Just like how using a baseball bat that is the right length and weight will help or using a properly sized/shaped glove for the position you play. Or how different football players use different amounts and sizes of pads. A quarterback wants to be more mobile so he wears less padding, maybe a lineman needs more. Different, not necessarily better.

The same thing applies to golf clubs and balls.

TLDR: Different scents for different gents.

You used a condom in an attempt to knock his mother up? Think about that for a second, you used a condom to try and get someone pregnant...

That's why he's the GOAT. Without a condom, it would have been like a semen-grenade exploded in there. The condom took the brunt of the explosion, so she (barely) survived. But did get preggers. Which was why his mom was pissed about equipment.

If golfers want to talk about their equipment-why is it a big deal to you?

I wasn't trying to kill her, I wore the condom for her protection, not mine.

You could have a new set of irons fitted for you and a brand new R9 and yet Tiger would still beat you using nothing but a 7 iron the whole time.

Just because you have the new gear doesn't me you're good. You still have to be able to hit the ball straight. I beat rich guys with better clubs than me all the time.

Yes, but if you take 2 equally talented golfers and give one a cartoon set and the other *insert whatever the top end equipment exists for golf* I guarantee you he would have the advantage.

Golf's not a real sport anyway, so I doubt those rich guys you beat give a shit.

There's a difference in baseballs too. Of course if you have the option to use a Diamond or a Worth, you're going to use a diamond.

Better equipment only makes a noticeable difference at the pro/semi-pro level. If there are two equal players with different clubs both made after like 2004, but neither of them are good enough to play at or above college level, then it doesn't make a difference. They won't be good enough to use the new tech for more spin, control, or distance. It's all about marketing and trying to sell new products with the equipment companies. It really isn't a big of deal as the advertising cracks it up to be.
