Alaska Airlines

Anyone ever heard or flown them before? I'm looking for tickets from Chicago to Washington and they are the cheapest by about $50 RT.

I believe they are owned by Delta. They have alot of flights that go in and out of Seatac. I have never heard anything bad about them.

Yeah Seatac is where I'm flying into.

I have flown them before (Seattle to Juneau) and for the most part they do a very nice job.

I've also flown them before, never had a problem with them.

4 hour flights do they do movies? Never flown that far.

50.00 round trip, are you serious?

I paid 259.00 for round trip to Vegas on Southwest with no bag fees and it's non stop 4 hours both ways.

You'll probably pay 25.00 for first bag and 35.00 for second bag on any airline that isn't Southwest.

You should at least check Southwest.com to see how much their flights are for that time?

They have done away with all perks like these on most airlines.

It's $50 cheaper round trip. Already looked at Southwest pretty much about $50 more. I may book with them since I'm a frequent flyer. I don't worry about bags. Military gets bags free.

Southwest had a thing yesterday about double frequent flyer miles right now.

Just bring a movie with you and use your netbook and watch it from there with head phones.

I live in Alaska and fly them almost exclusively. They're pretty good. Their on-time rate overall usually sucks, but that's due to the Alaska weather more often than not.

They have personal media players you can rent for the duration of your flight, they're like 6 or 11 bucks, depending on the flight length.

They are not owned by Delta as far as I know, their primary hubs are Seattle and Anchorage. One cool thing is if your bags aren't at the baggage claim 25 mins after you are allowed to take off your seat belt, they give you miles or a voucher for some $ off of your next flight.

I live near SeaTac and have flown Alaska a number of times. I have always had a problem of some sort with them. It's either that their computers are down or something goes wrong. I try to avoid them whenever I can.

But what the hell. If you can save money, go for it.

They served Jones Soda on flights until about a month ago.

Why the hell would they stop serving Jones Soda anywhere?

Jones may be ready to head for the big soda fountain in the sky - they are all but ready to shut down according to a news report I saw in Seattle last month.

I've flown Alaska from Atlanta and Salt Lake City into Seattle on Delta codeshares a couple of times - the cabin crews were excellent, but other than that I didn't think they were much different than any other airline with the exception of United (whom I avoid at all costs).
