LA to 3 Day Work Week?

  Must be that bad in LA to have the mayor look into going to 3 days of work instead of 5.

  Utah did it I think and saved a ton of money.
  
  I'd be all for adopting it. My company does 9/80 schedules in many of the main offices.

  Thats what I'll work anyway. 3 12's is full-time in healthcare.

  no way, not in my current job...I could do four day though, with a break in the middle of the week

  I do 2-3 24 hour shifts a week... I would much rather work a 48 or 72 and be done with it.

  Huge problem with state and federal govts is that wages and pensions have been growing much faster than average to the point where many positions are now among the most lucrative in their field. Combine that with the huge expansion in the number of govt employees and you have a ginormous financial burden the tax base cannot support.
