Anheuser-Busch Columbus, Ohio

  • Chesapeake
Heard a Bud Light "Real Men of Genius" commercial on the radio about an hour ago and instead of saying Anheuser-Busch St. Louis, Missouri they said Anheuser-Busch Columbus, Ohio.

Did they move headquarters to Columbus?

I knew they had a brewery in Columbus for several years but didn't hear of the whole operation being moved to Columbus.

Anyone else heard this at the end of the commercial?

All I know of is that, there's just a brewery.

there's a giant regional office building too.

My guess is that since the inbev takeover they are playing down the role of St. Louis in the enterprise. I haven't seen the brewery in Columbus but you can't miss the one in NJ driving from NYC to Newark Liberty Airport.

They've been doing that with their commercials for awhile now. I think A-B only has 12 breweries in the US, so to have one here in Columbus is obviously something they want to pride themselves on here in the Ohio market.

They were mentioning Columbus, OH even before InBev bought them out.

You can't miss the brewery here in Columbus either if you are up near the 71N/270 area.

If it's a humid day with the wind blowing just right I can smell the brewery all the way at my office on Polaris parkway.

I took a factory tour in st louis last weekend and their hqs are defitley still there. If you ever get a chance go there the place is huge and has alot of history and at the end of the tour you get 2 free beers but really you can go up 3 or 4 times and try all their beers. I had a stella, some blueberry beer, and a bud light wheat. The tour is free as well and take about an hour

Just a regional moniker. Similar to how Subway or Time Warner Cable has commercials specific to states and even regions of states (TWCNEO,etc). Makes it seem more personal. But no, they didn't move the headquarters.

    I'm sorry to hear that.

Fact: Ohio State campus consumes more A-B products than any other college campus.

Makes me think that's why they use C-bus in the commercial.

Exactly. I imagine all of the 12 breweries have their own tag line like for the commercials in their region.

When in GA I heard a "real men of genius" commercial end with "Anheuser-Busch - Cartersville, Georgia"

Has anyone ever seen the "canned water" that Busch makes? LOL We had a water outage at school back in the HS days and they brought it in by the truck load. It was in a solid white can with the A-B logo at the bottom and in big bold black letters in the middle of the can it said "WATER". The stuff tasted like they canned it right from the toilet lol

With the stuff they do, it wouldn't surprise me.

I have a few of those cans still. It was the worst tasting water ever.

Mentioning Columbus is just a marketing gimmick. I get Canadian TV where I live and it always amazes me that McDonald's tries to show that it's a Canadian brand. They put the maple leaf on their golden arches.

I could drink all the beer in that brewery in less than an hour.
