Clash of the Titans

Did anybody see this movie yet? I know that some theaters had midnight showings last night. I think I might go check it out tonight.

I thought Vince Young and Kerry Collins were having a fallout when I opened this.

It was terrible, just terrible. The 3-D effect made this bad movie almost unwatchable. Liam would have been more believable as the Kraken.

I was a fan of the original.

Was that a "serious" berry post? :D

I'm looking forward to this movie, I was a huge fan of the original....My dad has it on tape somewhere.

Yeah. But it was still a little better than "The Good Shepherd".

I had high hopes for this one. Lighting where I saw it was bad, and that was probably a plus. They simply added 3-D to a poor sequel and "Released the Crapper".

Seems like the critics agree with berry....

I figured it was terrible b/c they've been promoting the hell out of it.

The movie has all the markings of one that is just too over-the-top.

I went and saw it last night and it was bad. I was extremely disappointed with this movie.

They just seemed to make up the story as they went. It had some good action, and looked pretty good in 3D, but I couldn't get over how they just completely butchered the story. You can't just go changing a story that has been around for thousands of years.

If you've never read anything about Greek mythology then you might like it more, but I'd only give it 5/10.

I read that its worse in 3-D. It wasnt made to be a 3-d movie like Avatar, they decided to try to make it a 3-d movie after they saw the success of Avatar.

From what I've heard, it's another "all special effects/nothing else" movie that lacks the campy fun appeal of the original. No interest in seeing this one, but I might watch the old one again out of nostalgia.

This is disappointing I thought there is no way they could screw this up.

I feel the same way. I've seen the original a dozen times, kinda bummed to see so many people dissapointed in the movie, I was really looking forward to seeing it.

The story would have been good if it wasn't based on anything. Since it was based on mythology it killed the movie.

I mean there were just so many things wrong with the story:

    1. They made it seem like Perseus went on his adventure to get revenge on Hades for killing his family which never happened

    2. The movie made it seem like Hades released the Kraken on Argos which never happened. It was Poseidon who released the Cetus on Argos.

    3. Zeus and Hades never visited Perseus or anyone else. Perseus was given gifts by Hermes and Athena.

    4. Io was never mentioned in the original myth and they made it seem like Perseus married her on the blessing of Zeus. Io was actually turned into a cow, and Perseus rescued and married Andromeda.

    5. It wasn't the wife of Acrisius who was impregnated by Zeus. It was his daughter Danae and the prophecy said Perseus would kill Acrisius which is why she was cast out to sea.

There were so many other errors, but this movie was just pure garbage.

I don't even know the stories behind it and I didn't really like it. The fact that it is that far off from the original stories...I can see why people really dislke it.

They should have just made a God of War movie.

Gore, nudity, the mass murdering of Greek Gods, etc...
