AWWWGGG! I'm trapped in the basement while the greatest ND story of all time unfolds!

  I've recovered from the greatest alcoholic celebration of my life! Last night was like ChrismaHanaKwan all rolled into one for Notre Dome haters!
  
  For the AD of Notre Dome to go on national TV and cry over a completely fabricated story and admitted that Teo knew of this supposed "hoax" while he was going around collecting awards but didn't say a word, makes ND culpable once the truth does come out (its out already as far most reasonable people think) and they should be stripped of all 2012 victories for perpetrating a lie. All credibility for this supposed institution of "integrity" will be forever lost if they do not forfeit all games from this season.

  3. In essence, he was built up all season as this larger-than-life paragon of goodness and integrity...a story of overcoming personal tragedy to achieve greatness. And now it's all a lie. A multi-month deception pulled on the general public that (whether it was his intention or not) had the result of promoting him as a great guy who deserved all the hype and adoration he could ever get.

  It's the media who thought it was/should be important to the game that ultimately blew it. As a fan of college football, it changes nothing for me and what I get out of the game.
  
  It's the game that's entertaining, not the individuals. When we seek to make the individual the source of entertainment we diminish the game itself. It's been going on for quite some time so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I get the thirst for info on teams and games. I still don't get the focus on individual's off the field. I guess I'm just not there yet.

  I care when people use a fake story and collect millions(?) of dollars in donations from people who assume it is true.

  I also want to know what Kelly knew and when he knew it? My bet is they all knew by the time Heisman voting rolled around and this cost Miller tons of votes in the Midwest. Not saying he would have won or anything but it would have sure been nice to see the OSU player invited to NY. It definitely cost Kline votes and who knows he might have jumped over Johnny Shithead.

  I don't understand why they were so engaged in the beginning making themselves able to be exhorted. I don't understand why it was a story, even if real....because he played football? That's not enough reason for me to be interested. As previously stated, I am apparently behind those of you who have an interest in such pop culture things. I'm not sure I want to catch up.

  It doesnt matter where the money was going (any confirmation on where it did go?), its still fraud. He still used his image to extort people, and could be in A LOT of trouble.

  No I agree. I donated to United Way at work and they told me it was going to the Boys and Girls Club and it ended up going to the County Hunger Task Force. Can you believe the shit they pull nowdays?

  People donate to people not to causes...this sick demented fabrication from Teo's imagination was concocted for the sole purpose of illiciting sympathy for him and the ND football program. Folks who donated money have a right to know their hard earned cash was going to a charity that honored the individual. Since there was no actual individual, Notre Dome should have to pay millions in punitive damages for intentional malice.

  I agree. Personally when I donate to charity, I like to know the money I sent is going to people I've heard of.. Fuck all those people who I don't know.

  People usually donate to charity for other reasons than to just give, unfortunately.

  Any person who donates money to a charity "in honorarium" has the legal right to believe that person actually existed and passed away as depicted. This situation is pure unadulterated fraud and should be prosecuted as such. Teo should be convicted and Notre Dame should have to sacrifice games and pay punititive damages. If trading memoribilia gets you one year bowl ban this BS should be at least 3 - 4 yrs bowl ban and loss of victories in 2012.

  This is a very interesting approach to your point and quite possibly true. Can you reference the some other case that may lend to such an opinion of the legal right you are speaking of? Mr. Teo may need to get legal counsel pretty quickly.
