Massillon combine

Most of the kids that come in do it because it helps with college scholarships or the parents have found better paying jobs. Do these kids not deserve a chance to enjoy the prosperity of being a top Massillon player?thavoice;1365797 wrote:And to think they still cannot win a state title.
This isnt HS football. HS football is fielding a team from players within your school district. Kids that grew up as kids going to the games. Kids that have been playing together their whole lives and whatever season is in session that is what you see them playing in their own yards. True HS football is going to a 7th grade game and seeing the future players on the varsity.
Recruiting, combines, bringing in kids, constant transfers.....that isnt true HS football. -

Totally agree. No where in that post does it illustrate that sentiment however.DeyDurkie5;1365832 wrote:There is a high school football thread for a reason. get this shit out of the basement.
Why exactly is this in the basement? I'm guessing people wanting to talk about high school football are not looking here. -

Because this is where trolling threads go. Bundy is not a Massillon fan. Thread was created just to start shit, which is the purpose of the basement. -
Devils AdvocateHow do you fit a combine in the basement. Mine will barely fit in the gradge...

Well, that's probably cause the mods are butthurt and try to flex their penis to a certain size by banning people and threads with no consistency at all.xKoToVxSyNdRoMe;1366192 wrote:Totally agree. No where in that post does it illustrate that sentiment however.

Indeed. Only on the internet is my e-penis bigger than my belly! -

The thread was created to talk about the offseason. I am interested in seeing how things go for my Massillon Tigers this offseason. I am expecting big things. How is our combine not allowed in the high school football forum? You allow threads about rape and drugs but move one that is actually about football.GoChiefs;1366221 wrote:Because this is where trolling threads go. Bundy is not a Massillon fan. In the past we have had over 1200 students representing 7 states come in for workouts. With all of this talent, we are hopeful that we can find the next Justin Zwick, Devin Smith, or Kyle Kempt. GO TIGERS!!!
Hahahaha. Damn dude, this thread proves that I'm living rent free inside your mind. -
AppleMaybe the basement is just the place when you combine Massillon and football?
-
rmolin73Any word on any new "students", at Massillon?

Northview, Southview reprimanded by OHSAA

The Ohio High School Athletic Association reprimanded both Sylvania High schools -- Southview and Northview -- for violations involving their football programs.
The OHSAA, Ohio's governing body for high school athletics, placed Southview's football program on two years probation after determining longtime Cougars football coach Jim Mayzes violated bylaw 4-9-1 -- recruiting a prospective athlete. The OHSAA declared "any further violation of the bylaw will cause the school to lose its opportunity to participate in the OHSAA tournament and other penalties may be prescribed."
Furthermore, the school was fined $500, and Southview officials were advised to make sure Mayzes and his coaching staff abide by bylaw 4-9-1.
The OHSAA also determined Northview athletic director Chris Irwin violated bylaw 4-9-2 when he gave the school's first-year football coach Marek Moldawsky, Jr., "a list of eighth grade students who have been accepted to attend another school for the purpose of contacting the students."
Irwin received a warning from the OHSAA.
None of the students on the list will be attending Northview this fall.
Moldawsky, who replaces longtime Wildcats coach Erik Keller, was officially named Northview's coach in June. He spent the last two seasons serving as an assistant coach at St. John's Jesuit. He was the Titans' defensive coordinator. The Wildcats finished 3-7 last year.
Attempts were made to reach Southview athletic director Glen Gillespie and Northview athletic director Irwin for comments, but phone calls were not returned.
Hahahaha. -
rmolin73Dude that is old news. Try again. I thought you would be good at this by now!

skankHere's my favorite part.

rmolin73Next time we'll just have a combine

May as well, it would make it easier on your coach to...."recruit prospective athletes". -
rmolin73Then we can be as mythical as Massillon and win a state title on the field! Oh wait a minute. We've done that already.

Smh. That's always a ridiculous comment. -

They won them under the system that was in place at the time, what else can they do?
You don't call every pre-BCS NCAA title mythical, it's the same thing. -
rmolin73I'm just joking. This is the basement relax a little.

No you're not, but that's ok. I'll post the same thing here that I posted on the other site. You were slamming someone for supposedly dodging the parochials saying that Southview was scheduling TCC. As I posted on the other site, 106 of your last 110 scheduled games has been against public schools....weak ones at that.
The last ten years, Southviews opponnents have gone 469-553-1 (.458)....Massillon's opponents have gone 676-419-2 (.616).
In the same ten year span, Southviews opponents that made the playoffs....17.
Massillons oppontnts that have made the playoffs....45 or, almost half.
Southviews opponents playoff record....7-17 in only 24 games (.291).
Massillons opponents playoff record....80-39 in 119 games (.672).
Massillon has played 6 State Champions & 6 State Runners-Up.
Southview hasn't played a team that has won more than 2 playoff games in a single season.
Now to top it all off, here are ALL of Southviews SCHEDULED opponents over the last ten years.
Archbold (Div V)
Rogers
Start
Rossford
Springfield
Ant. Wayne
Maumee
Northview
Bowling Green
Perrysburg
Bowsher
Tol. St. Francis
Napoleon
Muskegeon (MI.)
Not real impressive, especially for a school that was one of the biggest in it's division.
Now, let's see who Massillon, one of smallest schools in it's division played over that same time frame.
Ursuline (D V) 2 X
Benedictine 2 X
St. Ignatius 7 X
St. Ed 2 X
Chaminade Julienne
Warren Harding 9 X
Canton McKinley 10 X
Elder
Mentor 6 X
Moeller
Hamilton Az.
Middletown
Solon
Steubenville 4 X
Fitch
St. V- St. M.
And finally, I say again, 2008 Massillon beats 2008 Southview by two scores. -

skankYep, having a couple of good classes, playing a weak schedule, and being a large school in the division they were assigned. Things went their way. '07 & '08 they went 7-1....The other 8 years they went 1-6 & haven't even sniffed a playoff win in DI.
'08 Massillon 28 - '08 Southview 14 -
rmolin7308 15-0 Southview 42 6-4 Massillon 21. You're too easy buddy. First off the person made the comment that schools are blacklisting parochials and aren't scheduling them. I responded with a statement saying that if schools are blacklisting parochial then why in the heck did our AD agree to a home and home with 2012 D2 State Champs Toledo Central Catholic. Which to me speaks of the future. You chimed in about our previous scheduling of private schools which has no bearing on what Southview is doing now and in the future. Yes! Our previous AD scheduled weak teams and according to you us going 15-0 and winning state was a fluke. I call BS on that.

rmolin73
That was a fluke according to skankPick6;1393210 wrote:The past 10 years, Southview has 1 state championship and Massillon has 0. -
skankNot so much a fluke, more like everything falling into place at the right time. I give them credit, they won the games that they had to, (tournament games that is, I think a Massillon 7th grade team could have gone 8-2 with their regular season schedule), fortunately for them, it was a pretty easy DII tournament that year. Also, with that regular season schedule, it's pretty easy to keep guys healthy and get your younger kids some valuable playing time.
