Oh boo hoo, some guy over the internets that I don't know made fun of my sister because she might or might not bang black dudes! Oh the horror! This makes me sad , even though I have already posted personal shit about other posters... If you are going to attack gochiefs for something personal about himself, wtf else did you expect him to say?
Gochiefs: Oh my bad etb, you are getting personal with me, but since it really offends you that I make fun of your sister that I don't know, I won't say anything about her.
LOLfail. Will you cry if somebody makes a yo momma joke directed at you too? -

HereticMy personal (ie: a bit different than Justin's, so as far as modding goes, I'd guess his "don't do dat shit" one would trump mine) stance on matters like this is as such:
1. Generally not cool, as least when you go beyond the "yo momma so fat" sort of thing.
2. HOWEVER, if I felt someone was going out of their way to be insulting towards me and I had access to something personal that would piss them off, I'd go full blast against them with the attitude of "well, if you didn't want shit to escalate, you shouldn't have started shit...bitch!". I don't look at that as "cowardice" because I'm mentioning a person who isn't there to defend themselves; I look at it as simple pragmatic logic where I don't want to deal with certain repeated snide comments, so I escalate things to where the commenter realizes they don't want to play the game any more. I mean, there is a sense of decorum, in that I'd feel the person would need to be made fully aware I don't like/appreciate/whatever they're saying --- it would be a dick move on my part to immediately bring out the family card the first time someone says something I don't like where everyone's like, "Whoa, dude just said his opinion on that game was stupid...and then he busted out a pr0n gif and asked if it was his sister!!!"
IN SHORT: I wouldn't be cool with stuff like that being casually used as a way to get under one's skin, but if someone was feeling stalked or harassed and dropped that sort of thing, I'd look at it more as someone getting what they had coming. Mean streets of the interwebz style. But, like I said, it's more Justin's call due to the whole "I own the site" thing, so if he looks at it as more of a zero tolerance thing, then that's the way it is. -
ernest_t_bassSo we can reveal personal information, as long as we're pissed off enough?

That's what you got out of his post???? Smh. He said something personal, not personal information. "Your sister bangs black dudes" or "you're fat", not your sisters name, age, address, date of birth, social security number, etc. Surely you know what he means.ernest_t_bass;1349107 wrote:So we can reveal personal information, as long as we're pissed off enough?

He also apparently didn't get out of the post the part where I said it was how I FELT and that since Justin's rules are different than my feelings, it's not like my feelings truly matter other than me expressing my personal opinion.GoChiefs;1349119 wrote:That's what you got out of his post???? It's times like this where I feel like personally apologizing to people because of those times when I was a complete dick for no reason other than the lulz. The combination of being said dick and all the playing dumb that goes along with it ("Wait, I know you said this, this and this are all banned...but what if I altered it one-tenth of one degree to barely make it a wee bit different? That's cool right!?") makes a person just want to go crazy.
So if I've ever done that to any of you (with a few exceptions -- for those who deserved that sort of treatment), I humbly apologize. I didn't realize how big of an annoying twatstain I was being. -

You're an idiot. Not surprised heretic's explanation went over your head though. I am quoting the post below just so you don't miss the meaning:ernest_t_bass;1349107 wrote:So we can reveal personal information, as long as we're pissed off enough?

Unless ETB is confirming that his sister does bang black dudes all day every day???? And if that is the case ETB is confirming it, then it still shouldn't be a problem to be repeated lolfail on etb.GoChiefs;1349119 wrote:That's what you got out of his post???? Smh. ernest_t_bassOK, like_that (or anyone else).
Without naming any specific posters, why is it "OK" to bring family members into online arguments. Note both following scenarios... they are not the same, however doesn't necessarily make either warranted:
thavoice: my wife's a bitch
OC: You're wife's a bitch, lolfail, no balls, blah, blah, blah
---
Dynasty: here is a picture of me and my fiance. I love her.
OC pwn team: LOL. You suck at life. Your wife has a big nose. PWN. -
GoChiefsIt's OK because its the internet and nobody gives a fuck. If you're that sensitive that someone you have never met can upset you by saying something about a family member they have never met, well the problem is with you, not the poster that made the comment. I guess the internet isn't for the overly sensitive.

I'm still looking for an answer that is different than, "because fuck you!" I will say this, I'd say mine was warranted, b/c I egged you on, however, I never revealed the actual information (idiot snot). Dynasty (crynasty, for the pwners), IMO, was unwarranted. Like many others, he posted a pic of himself and fiancé, then people start making fun of fiance. Unwarranted, IMO.GoChiefs;1357330 wrote:It's OK because its the internet and nobody gives a fuck. Also, another question I've had. If a poster reveals information about themselves, on their own, with no help from anyone else, is that not fair game then? Example, like_that pretty much revealed his identity by giving his wrestling credentials. Since he was the one that posted said information, could I just go around and repeat said information, so long as I didn't reveal his actual identity?
