They actually aren't though. All schools do it. How about you list the schools that had tough OOC schedules this year. Minus all the stupid shit schools.Midstate01;1322300 wrote:They actually are though. It's pretty bad -

SpeedofsandFlorida has 3 top 10 wins, lost to top 10 Uga because of the 6th turnover, and plays top 10 F$U next week. Florida has the #1 strength of schedule in the NCAA.

The worst -
Midstate01Florida also struggled today vs an fcs school and ULL last week and with bowling green... UF is very very overrated. At least my Florida friends here on base agree... They're not homers like SOS. They all say, eh we keep getting by barely. We are a couple years away.

Not even including midstate's response against you, this is trolling. You removed my jerk off post when it came to otrap, I'd expect the same from someone who used "phock yourself"Speedofsand;1322995 wrote:Florida has 3 top 10 wins, lost to top 10 Uga because of the 6th turnover, and plays top 10 F$U next week. ThePatriotLol @ OSU/ B1G fans constantly trying to find something to justify bashing the SEC. The SEC has won, what, 6 titles in a row? If they were playing cupcakes OOC and not winning that would be something but give it a rest. It's not like the B1G doesn't have its share of cupcakes and teams who schedule cupcakes.
Of course a conference which has a streak of national titles like the SEC is going to get it's share of attention. Can you say butt-hurt? -

The sec is a great conference. There's no doubt about it. But it's still overrated. Look at miss state. They hasn't played a top 40 team all year and were ranked like 13th... Finally played good teams and got shelled. But since they are in the sec they were moved up in a hurry.
Next week Tennessee plays UK. Someone will get a win.. Their first in the sec.
It's a great conference. It's just not what the media makes it to be.
And playing fcs schools at the end of the year is an embarrassment to the sec. Play 9 league games already. It's ridiculous playing fcs schools in the last 3 weeks. -

But at the same time you can talk about OSU's struggles against Purdue, Indiana, Cal, Michigan State, UAB, UCF, and Wisconsin too. Does that make them overrated?Midstate01;1323150 wrote:Florida also struggled today vs an fcs school and ULL last week and with bowling green... UF is very very overrated. All of college football is overrated this year. People need to get over the fact that the SEC will be getting the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the polls considering they've dominated college football over the last what like 6 years? Until they start losing in the national championship game and other bowls this is how it will be. Get over it!!!!!!(this isn't directed just at you but to all the SEC QQers on here. I'm not an SEC homer by and means but am being forced to play one on here)Midstate01;1323160 wrote:The sec is a great conference. There's no doubt about it. But it's still overrated. Con_AlmaWofford and Georgia Southern are very good FCS programs year in and year out. I love watching them play.

And this page only uses FBS games in its rankings. If you include FCS then all the SEC teams drop more than the rest.Midstate01;1323151 wrote:Oh and you're wrong

This isn't about osu. It's about the sec. And yes I think osu is probably overrated. -
Heretic
To a degree. They struggled in a lot of games they really shouldn't have (or at least struggled more than they should have), had a very weak n-c schedule and, due to the conference being down, the closest to a marquee win they have is smashing Nebraska, a team that fits neatly in the "good, but not great" file.GoChiefs;1323174 wrote:But at the same time you can talk about OSU's struggles against Purdue, Indiana, Cal, Michigan State, UAB, UCF, and Wisconsin too. On the other hand, unlike Florida any of those other SEC teams, at least they're unbeaten. When they won their last national championship, they had a few ugly, close games against mediocre/weak teams and generally didn't look like a title team leading into their win over Miami. This team's kind of been the same way, with the obvious exception of how they're not eligible for title games. "Win ugly...but win" trumps "win ugly...but win most of the time". -

Yeah I agree that the entire conference isn't strong but there are bottom-feeders in every conference. College football overall is a little weak this year, IMO. Or maybe I should say there arent those few teams which are head and shoulders above the rest of he pack.Midstate01;1323160 wrote:The sec is a great conference. There's no doubt about it. But like I said when you have a streak of champs from one conference that one is probably going to get some attention and it makes the rest of the conference look good too. But good God, the Big 10 fans have some sort of complex when it comes to the SEC (understandably so).
I just find it funny that people get their panties all bound up over what the SEC is doing. And who cares what their schedules look like right now. It's obviously doing well for them, playing 8 league games. -
