Who should I start at QB
-
SportsAndLadyDesean jacksons dumbass TD grab last Monday forced me out of a first round bye, and now my QB matchups are awful. Any advice?
Derek Carr @ Denver
Matt Ryan @ Carolina
Hasselback @ Jacksonville (just picked him up today off waivers) -
TBone14Best matchup is Hasselbeck. Jags have been torched lately but he's also banged up.
It's so hard to put somebody out there vs Denver. Only Brady was really able to manage anything vs them at QB.
How is the rest of your team? Do you need your QB to go off to win or if you just need to avoid disaster you can win? -

I don't need them to go off. Like I said, I was about to finish first place up until that last minute Desean TD, now I'm forced to play a first round game. Our league was very tight this year.TBone14;1768597 wrote:Best matchup is Hasselbeck. Jags have been torched lately but he's also banged up.

None of my qbs have really gone off in a game this season, and I'm 9-4. I just need them to hit 20+ and I'm good. -
Azubuike24God, that sucks.
Hasselback? There's no way. He barely got through the prior game.
Quite honestly, as much as it sucks, Carr has the highest potential to put up garbage points. Oakland's D has given up 26 PPG over the last month, and that includes 30 to the terrible Vikings offense and 34 to an average Chiefs offense. If Denver scores into the 20's, which they should easily, Carr might be horribly inefficient, but he could have a game where he throws 45 times and ends up putting up counting numbers. Something like 300 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, something like that...would still end up being 15 points or so.
The same argument could go for Matt Ryan...so consider that.
Hasselback? He could get hurt and end up getting 4...you don't even consider him. Would you want to go out in the playoffs and have to think all off-season that I lost with Matt fucking Hasselback? -

That's a great point. Shooting the shit w/ a guy in my office at the water cooler and he said he was thinking about starting Tyrod Taylor over Rodgers. I told him I couldn't do that. If I'm going down...I'm going down with my guy. I'm not going to let Rodgers go for 30+ on my bench because I was overthinking it.Azubuike24;1768606 wrote:God, that sucks.

SportsAndLadyYeah I'll dump Hasselback. I'm almost thinking Matt Ryan at this point. Carolina's been thrashed lately in the air.

Azubuike24FantasyPros rankings (this is the consolidated rankings of 100 FFB experts).
23 Derek Carr OAK at DEN 14 30 22.6 3.2 24 Matt Hasselbeck IND P at JAC 15 29 23.1 3.0 25 Matt Ryan ATL at CAR 13 29 24.0 2.8
Osweiler, Manziel, Hoyer, Alex Smith and Tannehill all ranked above them. Any of them available? -
lhslep134S&L who is available? I'm a Carr/Ryan owner and I dropped Ryan and picked up Winston for this week (he plays NO).
-
SportsAndLadyBasically no one...my league is good with snagging QB's. The only one available from Buike's list is Osweiler, and I don't want to start him lol
-
SportsAndLadyHoyer is available, he might get some nice mop-up time vs the Patriots haha

Osweiler is still a better option than Carr or Ryan. I'd have scooped Hoyer or Osweiler if Winston wasn't thereSportsAndLady;1768674 wrote:Basically no one...my league is good with snagging QB's. The only one available from Buike's list is Osweiler, and I don't want to start him lol -
SportsAndLadyI picked up Hoyer and dropped Hasselback. I'll need to make a game time decision Sunday lol

Azubuike24I may roll with Hoyer in a league over Carr for that reason. If somehow, it's a shootout, he's gotta throw. Watt is questionable. Houston got torched last week. If you recall, Hoyer's "huge fantasy days" this year have come in games where the HOU defense was shit. They could definitely be shit on Sunday night, forcing him to throw a lot.
